Roe v Wade

A "happy" woman on news today said....."Women that go for abortions don't really want abortions. This will give them the support and options they want."
Where the f are these people's heads? If someone is going for one then she has made the choice...she may not like the choice she made but its HER CHOICE! As one who had the ability to make that choice at age 16 I'm glad for the options.
Take all the FORCED TO BE BORN babies and drop them off at local fires houses, hospitals where it is safe and LEGAL to surrender a baby no questions asked....let the red states deal with them ...I'm sure the taxpayers there will soon notice how much raising a child that's unwanted will cost them.0 -
meanwhile, house democrats are doing the musical version of "thoughts and prayers".
this is so embarrassing.

The far right bomb abortion clinics and shoot doctors at church to protest Roe… what are democrats really going to do? Nothing. They can’t and won’t. It’s both admirable and a weakness as they will not do anything at any cost to get their way. These people were 40 feet away from murdering their own Vice President that would never happen in the opposite situation. I mean it actually happened in 2000. Gore voters didn’t try to storm the capital and try to hang Al Gore for not declaring himself the winner
The conservatives succeeded. Enabling the far right this whole time and maintaining plausible deniability in specifically what they were doing
Ask any woman who’s used a planned parenthood in the last 30 years (for any reason) in a deep red state. Most (or at least a lot) of them will tell you they were physically afraid for their safety just getting through the front door. That’s what the conservatives do when they disagree, they unleash the fringe with a wink and a nodI'm not sure were on the same page here, Cropduster. My comment was basically about supporting women. You're talking about political actions. I was talking about supporting women.I agree that Democrats are often to "polite", but what are you suggesting? That we resort to violence to oppose the other side?I know very what what happens at Planned Parenthood centers. Years ago, a close family member of mine drove by a Planned Parenthood clinic in a rough neighbor on her work every day. One day, the far right protestors started harassing patients who were trying to get in there. She walked past the protestors and wrote a check for $100 to that clinic. When she came back out to her car, she told the protestors what she had done and told them she would do the same thing every day until they left. That ended up costing her several hundred dollars but eventually they did back off. I was afraid for her every day.I won't go into detail, but I've done things to resist the right that could have caused me a huge amount of grief and harm. I'm guessing by the wording in your post, you've put yourself on the line as well. If you haven't, you might want to back off on the bluster a bit.
democrats and republicans protest very differently and republicans are far more tolerant of their fringe when things get out of control.Protesting as a democrat is kind of pointless as it’s not as effective. Im not saying democrats should get out of control I’m saying they play by different rules. Far right protesters scare people and that’s by design. It’s not right, but it’s true and they get away with it. And yes, in college a bunch of us escorted anyone in my sisters sorority house to planned parenthood any time they needed birth control. That was our normal Saturday and it didn’t always go well.I didn't say just protest. First of all, it sounded like you were lecturing and I'm not up for that. Secondly, I didn't just say protest. Thirdly, protesting has it usefulness. It keeps a focus on a problem. And of course protesting is not the sole solution. So instead of trying to pick apart what I said (not sure what that's about), maybe respond to what I actually said. Or we can ignore each other, no problem. I didn't come here to argue. Others here are into that. No thanks."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

i don’t usually disagree with you and I don’t think I’m in disagreement with you here either really as Im totally aligned with literally everything else you wrote. I’m not quoting you to challenge you. I’m quoting you because what you said was good
all I was saying is yes I agree… however protesting and supporting planned parenthood etc is hard as a democrat. For many reasons, chief among them being most democrats aren’t doing completely crazy stuff to get their point across
I figured the fact I agree with you was implied. My apologies. im venting with you, not venting at you
and yeah, it’s been a rough day for a lot of us, even though we knew it was coming. Doesn’t make it easier. I’m upset. Not at you at allPost edited by Cropduster-80 on0 -

i believe his intentions up there were spot on, and I completely get what Chappell meant.
Men may sympathize, support, all of that — and as a woman appreciate it — but they simply can’t KNOW what it’s like to have a fucking circus court playing havoc with our bodies.0 -
brian's not "testy". he's passionate, and sometimes when he reads something wrong, he can get his claws out. I understand it. I think most of us do. no need for the unnecessary swipe.

ive seen stuff go off the rails. This isn’t that and it’s an obvious misunderstanding
when you quote someone it sometimes appears you are talking at them specifically in a way you didn’t intend and when you don’t quote them and a comment is right underneath theirs, they think it’s directed at them when it probably isn’t and if it is, fine. Kat said:Today is so depressing....I can't even...
This, at least, was good to see.Yes it’s very depressing. First I was so angry I was screaming at the tv, then I started crying and just couldn’t stop. I truly feel like I just got kicked in the ass and that it’s not going to be the last time. What’s next? When Obama was elected I guess I put my rose colored glasses on thinking the country was changing for the better. Now I see that Obama winning was the last straw for all these racists, liars, hypocrites, etc. I’m imagining the takeover plans started in 2008. I thoroughly get your comment because “I can’t even….” as well. And once again, to all the guys who’ve posted their anger at this decision…..thank you.0 -
I'm one of the people who voted 3rd party over Hillary. You can throw rocks at me.
(But only if I can call someone testy without several people trying to shame me. Fuck off, if that is the case.)
Nothing funny about the rulings the past few days. I'm even further embarrassed by the so called leadership groups of our country.
"In God we trust."
What a fucking joke.

I’m going to Catholic Church this Sunday with a pro choice shirt on. I’m trying to talk my wife into wearing a pro death penalty shirt. For some reason there is no way she will get denied communion, I just might.
there in lies the problem of selectively mixing religion and politics. It’s hard to argue with people who see that as democrats being against god but republicans are on gods side (by omission).Maybe that will make me feel better, or get kicked out. Maybe both0 -

I appreciate your comment but please know women won’t blame ALL men for this especially if it’s clear you support a woman’s right to choose.0 -
