he will pick either maggie 3 names, ivanka, or his former press secretary. will probably decide which one by having a miss universe style swimsuit event."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

all i am saying is know who you are dealing with. trump has shown us exactly who he is for 40 years. it is all about the grift. i believe pence was foisted upon him by reince priebus or whomever was the party chair at the time because they needed the evangelical vote. still lost the popular vote but pence delivered the evangelicals for him.

You are correct on all points. Especially about the grift. He is a con-man and his nearest advisors are as well. It's all about how many millions of dollars can they glean from their stupid supporters. And how can they own libs.gimmesometruth27 said:all i am saying is know who you are dealing with. trump has shown us exactly who he is for 40 years. it is all about the grift. i believe pence was foisted upon him by reince priebus or whomever was the party chair at the time because they needed the evangelical vote. still lost the popular vote but pence delivered the evangelicals for him.

It was never about America and Americans.0 -
MTG is a useful side show for the Republicans. They have her so that she can say the inflammatory statements that fire up the crazies, but not have to be the one who says them. They can give a soft disdain for what is said, but revel in the chaos that ensues hoping for potential political damage to the other party and monetary donations that flow from the fanatical need to stop the socialist agenda.0

Buit this isn't a grammar error, she has the title wrong. She didn't misspell or use the wrong contraction or punctuation. She is a member of Congress and doesn't know the title Commander In Chief. Basic civics/government knowledge should be a prerequisite for holding office.cincybearcat said:

yeah, I get all that, but I don't see her as helping him get any votes he doesn't already have, which makes me think it's a bad choice, and as dumb as I think he is, I think he'll realize that. he (or his handlers were able to convince him) knew how important it was to have pence on the ticket, as much as those two are oil and water.gimmesometruth27 said:all i am saying is know who you are dealing with. trump has shown us exactly who he is for 40 years. it is all about the grift. i believe pence was foisted upon him by reince priebus or whomever was the party chair at the time because they needed the evangelical vote. still lost the popular vote but pence delivered the evangelicals for him.

I don't think for one second he chose Pence on his own accord. that was all his campaign telling him he needed him. If he really wants to win a second term, yes, I think he will realize he needs to listen to his people, and not just his "instincts" or what he thinks gets the most attention.gimmesometruth27 said:

Hard to say. I agree that conventional wisdom was that he needed an "experienced politician" as his running mate. Pence was probably not his idea, but I doubt he put up much of a fight. Now? Now that's not what's needed. Now, all the right wingers that were unsure about Trump consider him the greatest person in the history of this country. Now, the crazier the better....that probably plays right into Trump's gut being the thing to go with.HughFreakingDillon said:

Honestly, it almost doesn't matter who he picks, unless he tries to play it safe with some "moderate" Republican. The MAGAer the better with today's US conservative. I'd guess his ideal pick would be someone that he believes will have total devotion to him. Of course, that's a pretty big pool.
He might pick Ivanka or one of the other unhinged congressnuts who lie when they say "America First." Or, he could listed to advisors and go with Tulsi Gabbard or someone else that comes across less unhinged but will be devoted to him and Putin.1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine

I do think MTG is an idiot so maybe she didn’t know. But I get what Cincy is saying. Maybe it wasn’t a “grammar” mistake. I just don’t like the idea of harping on someone for what is just as easily a typo or a momentary lapse in your stream of consciousness. Do you really think Obama believes there are 52 (or whatever number it was) states? It was lame to give him crap and say he doesn’t even know how many states there are.Poncier said:

The GOP can nominate whoever they want, and it’s unlikely trump would be convicted of any crime ever, unless there were verifiable footage of him doing it.0
