You're not kidding! Last night was one of those "special" nights that are only felt (at least by me) after certain PJ shows. Everything was perfect and I would be surprised if Ed could top it the rest of the tour. But here's to hoping he does!!

Yeah, I know what you mean..I always think at PJ show, wow, this one was amazing. And somehow the next one is not better but different...The show(s) you go to are always special to you for different reasons...
This was a great performance, from what I got reading the fanviews, but you never know what' hes got up his sleeve for next shows. Guess will have to wait and see. Or read about it :o

Reading all this about shows makes me so proud to be a Pearl Jam fan and makes me appreciate Ed even more...(like I'm not crazy about him anyways, lol)

Ok, I'll stop polluting the fanview thread now, sorry. Carry on. Wanna hear MORE :)

I'm speechless about the whole thing, I even knew he'd be there (chiqimonkey saw him earlier that day) I kept it a secret from my husband and our friends)

fucking awesome. I also was waiting for ed after the show but I guess he was busy with sean pean and only came out for a fraction of a second but the crew gave us pizza.

the show was awesome, mike was awesome, ed was awesome and I'm awesomely tired so I'm going back to bed

Ah, so that was the whole Amoeba Records thing that I heard everyone talking about under their breath. That's cool if you got to meet Ed at the record store...did you and the rest of the crew get a opportunity to meet him after the show?

    Peace,

"Soon Forget" came after "Millworker," but does anyone remember when he teased "Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me?"

did you all get lucky and have a opportunity after the show then? Hopefully so.

  • Epic show. Everything about it was 20x better than Monday. Ed's voice, crowd, setlist, Ed's mood, McCready cameo....

Ed seems to be picking up steam as the tour rolls on. Be ready, SoCal! Bring your voices....the more vocal the crowd is (sing, don't yell shit out! please!), the more Ed gets into it, and the better the show is.

If 4/8 was recorded, we're all in for a treat.

you can thank vedhead27 and myself for Mike showing up, we brought mad karma to the show, and my karma ladin vote for change hat that I hadn't worn for two years, since Mike signed it during a song on stage (CCFA Flight to Mars show).

the Sean Penn song and roast was great, berkeley one was one of the big disappontments for Ed, college campus, in berkeley, and you can't get anyone to sing along to a protest song...then he said it must have been all the young republicans in the audience, so it ripped into Masters of War, and when completed, said something to the effect that all the young republicans should be gone now.

Jerry Hannah was there for Society, and him and Ed traded off versus during the entire song, very nice.

Oh, Liams set with the lovely EJ was spectacular. they punked out one of the songs at the end, and both lost a nail, EJ ripped it all the way off and disregarded the blood, Liam was a wimp, lol ... but made up for it by making up a new punk song about him and EJ losing a nail :)

not sure how many ends this show had, but everytime you thought it was done another guitar, another chair showed up on stage.

the stories Ed shared were very cool, especially the one about the bear and his daughter. Oh, and who knew babies get high when breat feeding (why'd I ever stop), he said a woman was breast feeding at the show last night and he thought it was cool that a baby was tripping during his show (Ed said it better, didn't sound wrong, lol)

Mike McCready carted onto the stage because Ed had Matt's drumsticks in one of his cases, Jeff's rug, one of Ed's favorite accoustic guitars for the last 11 yrs was actually Stones, and now that Mike was there, he covered all his bases.

yellow ledbetter was great, started with Liam on drums, ended with Ed on drums, then Ed on drums for All Along the Watchtower.

truly one of the most amazing concert experiences of my life, and I've had a few.

thank you all that attended and shared your energy and voice.

What's to say? Beside the final cheer at the end of the shows, McCready got by far the loudest welcome of all three bay shows. The place went nuts, just crazy, buzz just skyrocketed -- Ed had mentioned the band a couple of times, how appreciative he was of their support throughout.

McCready came out with a lab coat on, a hat, wheeled in by a roadie on a handcart/dolly. "I called up to Seattle and had them FedEx something down. It's kinda big, Oh well. Just wheel it out here!"

And then just straight into Ledbetter, McCready was on a yellow strat I think, not the his usual one I don't think, but delicious. Really nice sound. OH The House Lights Came on as Well (of course) and we were all singing along (message received). Ed accompanyed wonderfully on acoustic, Liam on drums. Mike was shredding, just F***** shredding.

Ed said something quiet between songs, not sure, "lets end it here." and instantly into Watchtower, ed began on acoustic, mike picked up rhythm on the strat, ed solo'd the harmonica lead in! And then the leads after each verse were just epic. Wailing. WAILING!

And it's all just ripping and suddenly Ed stands up, drops guitar and swaps with Liam on the drums! Liam begins to shread the acoustic, Mike's now standing crouched over Ed's amp and just tearing it up.

Every bit as rockin, if not more so, than SFIII 06!

Plugged. YL and All Along...were so fucking raw. Liam was killer on drums. Then Liam and Ed switched places and Ed began drumming and Liam was playing Ed's guitar. Stellar. One in a million experience.
