    I'd vote for Liz (as a siphon) if she wasn't such a dick on every other issue.

    Interesting take on someone like Romney running. The questions that come to mind are 1) would he also do that to DeSantis who would probably have a shot to win the nomination by out-Trumping Trump and 2) would it matter at all? Are there enough conservatives/Republicans that like someone like him and are sick enough of MAGA to allow to Dem to win just to send that message.

    I don't think DeSantis will run if Trump's running. Ron is the smug passive-aggressive version of Trump and will need the Maga voters. He'll likely wait until 2028 if he has the desire. If Trump isn't running, and he does, he will kiss the ring and get the support of Trump.

    Romney's not running, he's got waaaaay too many residuals pouring in and doesn't need the headache. He has the means to make a quick escape. Deathsantis is the heir apparent. He's even got POOTWH's hand motions down to a science. He'll promise POOTWH a pardon if POOTWH decides its his only chance of avoiding serving time. The fix is in for a POOTWH endorsed candidate to take the reigns. Good luck 'Murica.

    i used to believe that he will die before he goes to jail. i always thought that his narcissism would never allow him to go to jail and be mocked. but after doing some reading i learned that his narcissism would never allow him to harm himself. so maybe he might go to a white collar prison or something.

    I think its possible that he's indicted, goes to trial but never sees the inside of a jail cell. He'll run the appeals process for as long as he possibly can. State charges are exempt from POTUS pardons, so even more reason for him to run and use the "witch hunt" against "your president" to rile up the masses. Unpresidented territory trying to imprison a former POTUS or candidate for same. However, Martha Stewart and Leona Helmsley both did time and they both had vast resources to defend themselves. I think its more likely that Deathsantis refuses to extradite his ass to NY to appear in court and face the music. Ivanka Darlink and Jared Dear Boy are going to have some deciding to do. Do they lawyer up, tell what they know for a plea deal or do they serve time for provable charges, based on evidence and previous GJ testimony? They got a lot of living to do and some of it might be behind bars. POOTWH will die of old age before he sees the inside of a jail cell.

    Former President Donald Trump is under criminal investigation in Georgia for trying to coerce state officials into overturning his election loss there, but on Thursday called those efforts “even more” perfect than his 2019 attempt to extort Ukraine into smearing his political opponent ― for which he was later impeached.

    “My phone call to the Secretary of State of Georgia was perfect, perhaps even more so than my call with the Ukrainian President, if that’s possible,” Trump wrote in a statement released by his political committee.
