Apparently Ercot had certain providers like austin energy that have fixed rates, shed power just so they didn’t lose the profits from t he price spikes. Mostly people are pissed at Ercot down here, but my socialist ass is going to explain to a lot of people what party and what policies allow a consortium like ERCOT to thrive and be shielded from lawsuits. They are also talking about using tax dollars to winterize...talk about socialism for the rich.

Do you have power?
well...regulation calls for winterizing assets. Southern states don’t need to do that? Although it may not get cold every winter, it certainly will get freezing cold one winter, and that’s all it takes for people to pay with their lives. Once.Interesting watching news clips, the residents knew to have winter coats, but state leadership didnt know to winterize the utility assets?0 -

that biden speech just now was really good.
it is so refreshing to have someone that is compassionate in the oval office. i had forgotten what that was like."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."0 -

One of the reasons I liked Biden is that he is a “forever war” type of guy, unlike Trump. With the Syria strikes hopefully just the beginning for the next 4 years expect the military industrial complex to fuel the economy.London Ontario 2013, Buffalo New York 2013, Lincoln Nebraska 2014, Quebec City 20160

With the Syria strikes hopefully just the beginning for the next 4 years expect the military industrial complex to fuel the economy.I hope you are kidding. Does anyone really "like" forever war? Do you really like the idea of war and killing to fuel an economy based on consumption of resources that are over taxed is a good thing? This is from Heather Cox-Richardson's latest letter:"Another is that the Biden administration launched an airstrike today on Syrian facilities used by Iran-backed militias that have been attacking U.S. troops in Iraq. The strike was a response to a rocket attack in Iraq that killed a U.S. contractor and wounded coalition troops earlier this month. The airstrike, coming at a time that the U.S. is hoping to get Iran to rejoin talks about the 2015 nuclear deal Trump rejected, was likely a sign that Iran should expect that the U.S. will remain engaged in talks but will still respond to attacks."Why is it that Democratic administrations are so war like? Here we are, just a little over a month into the Biden administration and, BOOM! , more war. WTF??? And why would Iran want to remain in talks with then when we just bombed them? Are you kidding me? "Oh, you just bombed me. Well, gosh, lets talk." What that fucking hell?"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

I just can't see it being coincidence that Dem presidents are always bombing someone.

People do realize that the US launched multiple attacks in Syria during the Trump admin right?
So the "unlike Trump" line is pretty ignorant.0 -
