Union is soccer MSL - had best record in regular season this year then choked in playoffs.  Actually pretty cool stadium they have and a fun tailgate spot.  And I hate soccer.

Wings is Lacrosse.  They were pretty big in the 90s here.  They went away and came back a few years ago.

had a little debate with my SIL......i said salt lake was happy with one major league team....she’s, no, we have two....had to break it to her that MLS is not major league.

There is not a better job in America than the last person on a baseball bench. No pressure, travel the country and get a food stipend, shag some fly balls, eat some sunflower seeds with a front row to Major League Baseball and play a few innings a week

And, other than the other professional leagues, their union actually works for the players.

you boys are stocking up. NL East is stacked. NL West is top heavy. Giants can still beat the organizationally inept rockies and d-bags.

the best and worst part about baseball is, other than high draft picks, you have to become established before you really make good money.  once you are established you get paid but getting to that pay grade is not easy.  Minor leaguers who weren't high draft picks basically make minimum wage or below.  it sucks for those minor leaguers but I prefer that than NBA guys who are millionaires as soon as they are drafted and whose 2nd contract ends up being insanely profitable comparatively speaking.

It's basic math. There's more than twice the amount of guys on a roster in baseball. Also, because of that in the NBA they're another union that knows what it's doing. They have the balls to go to a lockout because they know they're the ones creating the revenue. I have no problem, in any sport, seeing the players making more than management.

Correct - no longer held up by obstructionists, just holding people accountable.
