McCarthy is perfect for them. He will dutifully push all the sponsors and he won't ever go "off script". The fact that he cheers for the other team is our problem.

Yeah I've warmed up a little...however my warming up seems amplified to me because of the outright vocal hatred she gets from a lot of people. I don't find her to be a great announcer or anything. She's just okay. But she's not nearly as bad as so many people make her out to be.

lol, I appreciate this. I have to say this was basically my position from the beginning. She's no Zumoff for sure, but no one was going to be.  I think she's been decent, but you can tell this is a career and the Sixers are probably a stepping stone.

Apparently it was the first time a team tied the game and went ahead on a hit by pitch in the eighth inning or later.

And Turner just got out of the way of 2 beanballs prior to that.

Lost in the haze but shoutout to Trea stealing 2 bases and scoring on the overthrow. Gotta love that.

Absolutely. That's the guy that needs to be leading off. The reason he's here is to lead off. I don't care how much Schwarber sucks in the lineup outside of leadoff, Turner needs to be the first hitter.

I can't stand it and I have no idea how this is justified. He's a home run hitter. He should be behind Harper, the .390 OBP guy, providing protection. It's just crazy.

  • Amy soccer dudes interested in the premier league visit game on 22nd?
Somehow I fmeinthebrain-farted and double booked us that weekend.  The other event is Nascar Weekend in Poconos and my kid is a racing freak, so as much as he wanted to check out the soccer he would pick a weekend of racing stuff over it every time.

Still cheaper tickets elsewhere in the stadium for sale but this price is good (and below the 114.50 I paid) for Club Level...will do all 3 for $300.
    Can transfer from TM.

    Summer vacation to Colorado:

PHL to DEN flight cancelled night before.
Tell kids we rescheduled flight from BWI next day.
Day in Baltimore, Orioles game, run out of stadium as thunderstorm rolls through.
Arrive at BWI early AM. Get text that this flight is canceled too.  No other possible flights available.
Go to diner for breakfast. Decide to drive.
Get to Illinois. Unreal traffic. Stop in KC for the night.
Arrive in Estes Park for one night of our 3 night reservation. Go to Rocky Mountain National Park. Thunderstorms and hail but still beautiful.
Rockies game: 2 Tigers grand slams.
Plan drive to Iowa City the 3rd home on the 4th. America!!!

So....are we just all fine with MLB tv not being on youtube tv anymore? lol

It's pretty crazy to me that we're almost at the all star break and they haven't worked something out.

I also hastily cancelled my Athletic subscription due to zero Sixers coverage....but now I regret not being able to read Gelb or the Eagles guys anymore .

Usually there's some decent deals for the Athletic when you gamble on MGM.

The MLBN thing really annoys me. At this point I don't think it's coming back. YTTV has invested so much in football it's annoying. They've actually made me consider the Ticket as "not that bad of a deal" (words I actually said).

    Fuck the Athletic. Bastards.

Beer store right near me has some deal with Tired Hands. Getting new shipments of their stuff every Thursday. Great to see TH finally be accessible in other places now. I don't foresee my beer fridge ever not having some Alien Church in it from now on.
