    I haven't lived in NC for 3.5 years.  My wife and I got absentee ballot applications from the RNC in NC sent to our house in a different state. Idiots.
    I also have gotten text messages from different groups (despite having an iowa cellphone #).  Mostly DNC ... I must have given Pete my cell number at some point.  In fact got a text from NC Dems asking why I haven;t voted in the last several elections....ummmmm....I don't live there and I have voted in another state since then.  I regret them having my cell phone number.  The fact they are texting me nonsense pisses me off.

    Don’t federal elections cover house, senate and POTUS? So in effect, if you voted twice in a state election for a legislature seat, you would face state charges but not federal charges but if you voted twice for a federal seat, you could face federal charges?

    When elected to office, you do not represent only your supporters, you represent all of your constituents. That is your job. I was at the nation’s Capitol when Trump gave his inaugural address. I had hoped this first speech as president would be a message to unify a divided nation. Instead, I heard a speech directed at how he would help the people who supported him. And sadly, that is how President Trump continues to govern.

    Furthermore, President Trump’s answer to people who oppose or disagree with them is to be verbally abusive. In other words, he is a bully.

    So, it doesn't fall under the FEC's jurisdiction but its still a federal crime. Not just for the states to prosecute.

    Voting twice is illegal under both North Carolina and federal law. In North Carolina, it is also illegal “to induce” someone else to fraudulently cast a ballot.

    Trump has been a frequent and vocal critic of mail-in voting, claiming — without evidence — that it is susceptible to fraud. Trump himself has voted by mail a number of times.

    WECT said the way North Carolina’s system is set up, it is “clerically impossible for a person to vote twice,” because once the mail-in ballot is received, the voter would not be allowed to cast a vote in person.

    (e)Voting more than once
    (1)
    Whoever votes more than once in an election referred to in paragraph (2) shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
    (2)
    The prohibition of this subsection applies with respect to any general, special, or primary election held solely or in part for the purpose of selecting or electing any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the United States Senate, Member of the United States House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, Guam, or the Virgin Islands, or Resident Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

    As used in this subsection, the term “votes more than once” does not include the casting of an additional ballot if all prior ballots of that voter were invalidated, nor does it include the voting in two jurisdictions under section 10502 of this title, to the extent two ballots are not cast for an election to the same candidacy or office.

    Correct, and by the state it occurs in as they have the immediate jurisdiction to charge and prosecute as almost all ballots will have regional and state elections on them. So even if Barr turned a blind eye to federal enforcement, the states can and will prosecute.
