That room is awesome. Nice work. The Marshall mini fridge is one of the coolest things I’ve seen. Do you recall where you found the McCready strat and Ed tele posters? I’d like those in my basement if I could find them.

That's a great looking guitar! Are the mini switches for coil splitting the humbuckers?

    Just got this setup today.

First electric in nearly 20 years.

As far as I can tell, it’s a 1997 Fender Stratocaster (made in U.S.A.). I emailed Fender the serial number to see if they could provide any other details.

Oh, and I’ve never had the amp head into a speaker cabinet rig; I’ve always had combos. This little Orange micro terror is goddamn mighty! Named appropriately.

@dankind good choice. Here is a site where you
might be able to find the year https://www.guitarinsite.nl/serienummers-fender_eng.php

i have one of the micro terrors, it can push a 4x12 cab.. pretty cool amp.

I decoded the year. I just don’t know which type of Strat it is from that year. Hopefully, someone from Fender gets back to me.

So Fender got back to me. I was a year off. It's a 1998.

And it looks like the bridge and pickguard have been replaced.

According to Fender, this model is an American Standard Stratocaster®, which came with a 3-ply white pickguard and an American Standard bridge. The pickguard on this old girl is an aged white moto, and the bridge is an American Standard tremolo bridge (there's no indication in the email from Fender that a tremolo was included with this particular model).

The fella I got her from mentioned that he used to have some humbuckers in at the bridge and neck (that he regrettably let go), so he definitely made some modifications during his time with her.  I don't know what kind of pickups are on it now -- I'm not very savvy on such things -- but my guess is he just reverted to the stock single coils.

Will be interesting to find out more when I can take her to a luthier sometime in 2030.

While I’m here, I don’t think I’ve ever posted any photos of my baby.

    Here she is.

That's a beautiful guitar! What's the story with the strap on the tuners?

That's how my father set it up. That's how he wore it. That's how it stays until it falls apart.
