Yeah they're inventory is pretty depleted at the moment. Hope they are able to restock in the next several months buy they're out of a lot of stuff right now and I think they're missing out on a lot of sales because of it too.

Sweetwater had record sales last year … like around a billion dollars.  Their stock has been low on a lot of stuff for over a year, but people have been buying a lot of stuff.  The pandemic and microchip shortage is affecting the availability of a lot of stuff.  The current labor shortage in the US will make things worse for the next several years.

Guitar Center on the other hand filed for Bankruptcy in a year when they should have had record sales.  Decades of shitty service and screwing people over came back to bite them … especially since a lot of items out of stock at Sweetwater seem to be readily available at Guitar Center.  I have gone to GC several times in the last year for items out of stock elsewhere, but they are a last resort.

My new baby came today. It's in the shop for a setup now. Came with 9's and I'm putting 11's on it. Everything else looks great. Can't wait to dig into some qotsa riffs.

I started playing with 9’s. Probably giving up some tone but much easier to play.   Maybe need to play acoustic more to keep the hand strength up.

I think 11s are a must for Bigsbys and Jazzmaster trems. Love those TVL Jazzy’s.

Yes. 11s are pretty much the standard for these guitars. I usually play 10s on strats teles and les Paul's and 11s on bigsby and the jazzmaster.

I'm curious to hear an update on your experience with the acoustasonic.  How is the "deep C" neck in comparison to a strat and a standard acoustic guitar?

This is in my top 3 watch list right now.  It seems to make sense for my home studio as I wouldn't have to mess with microphones and amps (if I'm reading the reviews right) for recording my existing acoustic guitars and playing through a mixer to speaker monitors.  Also interested if you just pick a position setting A/B or if you find yourself using the blend knob quite a bit.

I tried an HSS Ultra strat over the weekend to see how the modern D neck felt ... it felt really good to me.  Along with the way the body carve fit me, it just felt like a perfect feeling guitar .... although I would go SSS if I chose one.  Both this and the acoustasonic are in the same price range ... just surprised they only give a padded gig bag with the acoustasonic when it is $100 more expensive.

I'm really enjoying it. Very good playability. The neck doesn't feel too different from the necks on my mim strat and usa tele really. It really depends on what sound or tone I want ad to whether or not I blend or just dial something up quickly but the overall tones are very good. Very versatile and a great studio tool.

Gave my project P-Bass some attention. Replaced the neck and swapped the black pickguard for tortoise.

Just got a new (used) one at a great deal.  This is a glamour shot from the shop, I can’t take a better pic with my phone.   Heritage H-137 with Lollar P90s.  A great rock guitar.

Beautiful! Love Heritage. Been to their factory a couple times and it is beyond impressive. True works of art come out of that place.

    Congrats!

I've only had a Squier bass VI for bass until now. This will be a significant upgrade. The bass VI does some really cool stuff that regular Basses don't but as far as traditional bass goes, this will be my go to for the foreseeable future. Color looks great and came with s really nice hard case. Feels a lot lighter than I was expecting which I like. Sounded really great out of the box. I guess my next purchases will be a DI and an amp.
