After all of the deaths, after all of those who have survived this with lifelong debilitations...I just can't wrap my mind around the nonchalance in dismissing its severity.
And now I'm gonna go listen to some Alice. Thank you, Poncier.0 -

Yes, true, LOL. It's kind of what I do when I get burned out on heavy news- and, OH MAN, there is so much heaviness in the air these day- coronavirus, economic meltdown, racial tension, protest against police brutality, our so-called president, burning forest in Siberia, and on and on and on. It gets to the point where I either want to pull my hair out (ouch!), cry (boy, would that look stupid!), or just have some fun. Today is Funday!

This is not even considered to be even an epidemic anymore. Follow the sience.Whoa, RYME! Dog tails have always been around in epidemic proportions!. I almost had an eye put out buy a whipping dog tail once! You were talking about dog tails, not COVID-19, right? Say, "Yes". Please say, "Yes"!
It was suppose to be a little Friday fun.
And I got three types of responses.
1. The expected smear "dont you have some mindless propaganda to post?"
2. People who answered it and asked what it had to do with anything.
3. Yourself Brian who decided to have a little fun with it.Post edited by RYME on0 -

There is always more going on than meets the eye. While there is the seriousness of covid-19 and it has been taken very seriously.
I think we had Navy hospital ships one on each coast turns out they wern't needed. Built pop-up hospitals. Army Corps of Engineers very very quickly for overflow.(which wern't really needed as it turned out) I noticed, some of you criticized Mike Lindell (the Pillow guy) for speaking at one of the daily task force briefings early on. The successful pillow company has been producing massive numbers of face masks for hospitals and YES donating them to hospitals/ nursing homes and Clinics Nationwide. Stock piles of ventilators have been produced. The virus itself has been taken very seriously.
But, there is a TON of political maneuvering going on as well. If the economy rebounds really well and people get back to work, school & some normalcy by fall everybody knows that is a slam dunk for Trump. Of course the democrates & lefties know that & dont want that to happen. Lefties would love another shut down, schools to remain closed through fall, and will do everything in their power to keep as much shut down as possible.
Just a guess, November 4th covid-19 will still be on going, but old news.

If you were truly having a little fun, then I apologize.
Regarding the rest, Trump has continued top minimize the outbreak in favor of the economy. There's so many examples it's beyond the pale. He's the one that politicized the issue and politicized the wearing of masks. His failure to influence 40% of the country to don the masks is partly to blame for this second outbreak and the continued depression on the country. You can add that to his wishful thinking in February and March as well.0 -
And what's the example this week @RYME? The trump administration threatens to cut federal funding to any state that doesn't open schools as normal. For many states, like Florida, that's in less than a month. He doesn't care about the conditions in hot spots, he makes a blanket threat to the whole county. It's truly appalling and shows he doesn't actually care about our health. That decision is purely about politics and reelection.

This has nothing to do with politics or the left trying to win an election. Record daily highs in 9 states yesterday. A daily high nationwide as well with over 71,000 positive cases.
