    American Psycho 2

 Well, it really has no meaningful connection to the original - they forced the connection. This movie is really very silly and stupid. However, it was still entertaining, and Will Shatner in it made me laugh. Mila Kunis is just going through the motions in it, but I line her, so she was still tolerable. The soundtrack is pretty bad. A strange, really shitty movie that I didn't once consider not watching until the end. I have no clue why they bothered with this film at all, but I'm still kind of glad I chose to watch it (it's on Tubi, which tells you how crappy it probably is, lol).

That is one of my most beloved films (and favorite song played during credits).

We just saw this last night.  Oh man, this was WAY different than what I'd imagine it would be.  We both really liked it a lot!

Edit:  Elsewhere, I was asked what made this film surprising to me.  I wrote this:

What really made it different were a couple of things. First off, this is not a biopic. And secondly, there is a secondary story involving a rather cynical writer for Esquire Magazine (based on a real article but in the movie the character is a fictitious man named Lloyd Vogel) who's story is anything but kids stuff. In fact, Hanks has said Vogel's story is the real story of the film. And as mild mannered as Fred Rogers was, it is obvious from the film that he also had a strength of character that runs much deeper than a hand knitted sweater.

The Old Guard on Netflix.  I love Charlize so I enjoyed it.  It was a little slow in parts, but the action was great.  I love the idea of it too.  It’ll be interesting what the future holds for the characters if they do another movie.
