    This will be cool.

Over under on number of stories about Bill himself and or his daughter?
Less than 10 minutes in we get a daughter soccer story. 😂

Bill: This album is Pearl Jam's version of a 50-20-20 triple double with 8 steals and 7 blocks... it might be the all-time apex mountain album for a band 25+ years into their career.
31 minute mark he compares Gigaton to Tim Duncan in the 2014 finals. Awesome. 😀

Eddie can freaking sing, but dang that speaking voice...

Although hearing Ed lighting up smokes during it is depressing
Wonder how good his singing voice would sound if he gave them up. Corey Taylor gave them up and sounds fantastic on the latest Slipknot album-sounds like a third record as opposed to a sixth (if Slipknot tickle your fancy at all).
I've thought about the excact same thing. Corey's never sounded better, plus he sounds amazing live nowadays. QUIT THAT SHIT EDDIE!
  • Really interesting interview, got Ed talking about things that I am actually surprised he was so open about

I smoked for 20 and haven't smoked in 6 years.

The biggest thing it would help, imo, is his lung capacity.  He'd get his wind back and be able to belt out a bit more again.

Couldn't get him to stop talking.  Bill tried to end the podcast a few times.

    I like towards the end.

EV:  John!  Can you get me a beer?

I listened to the first 30 mins last night and enjoyed it a lot. I had no clue about them putting the Mookie Blaylock card in the cassette box as the reason they name named the band that temporarily. Pretty cool!

Maybe not Jeff, but I think Ed would have stayed another 2 hours. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

We cracked up at Ed’s reaction to Bill saying “4 or 5 drummers”.
He seemed to rib him at a few things lol. “Bill, You sounded really surprised that this album was good!” Lol

This was a good listen.  The part where Bill dropped off and Ed and Jeff continued was so perfect.  It was so classy at the end when Bill was about to thank them and Ed turned it around and thanked Bill.  Nobody does that.

I got a kick out of Bill asking Ed when he thought the band sounded their best and Ed responded “yesterday “.  😀

Great podcast! Love the sports talk. I was a big Bulls fan and Ed’s story about him and Rodman flying out late to Vegas to watch a Jane’s Addiction show while the Bulls were in Seattle was great ...

That's funny, because as he was trying to remember I was like "how can he NOT remember that?"  I forget that we're all PJ freaks and can pick out songs from specific shows and certain banter and whatnot.  And he initially mixed up the acoustic set from 2003 as the show Bill was talking about.  After 1000 shows you have to assume that they do indeed run together a bit.

I really liked Ed's answer to when Bill said something about giving advice to his younger self.  Paraphrased "don't be so upset when your picture is on a billboard or a radio station uses your lyric. It's not a big deal"
