I have no idea what other people think. Ithere will be some upset people that will vote third party or not at all but that’s to be expected. At this point I’m going to use my vote to vote against trump and hope that the midterms and 2024 will have room to swing more to the left.mickeyrat said:static111 said:I’m a Bernie supporter and I sincerely hope he drops out. I like Bernie, but there is no reason to stay in. Getting these kinds of judgement calls wrong does nothing to help his candidacy.___________________________________________

People seeing cool-cat Adam Schiff and slayer Nancy Pelosi etc in action in these times, I don't think the "democratic establishment" boogeyman works on normal folks.
He should have been more "sound social reforms for the benefit of normal peoples lives, that other countries have to make their citizens lives better, more safe and more fair" and less "JOIN THE REVOLUTION, GRAB NEAREST SWORD AND LETS HEAD TO THE SWAMPS OF WASHINGTON FOR BLOOD"Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

My hope is that Bernie and Biden have a civil debate to illustrate their proximity to the same end results, just different ways and timelines to get there. This is good and healthy for the party and the voters and can run contrary to Team Trump Treason not having any challengers, or really, any solutions to the issues of concern to the berniebrosises. Followed by a private meeting where Sleepy "Woke" Joe agrees to certain policy initiatives, maybe a cabinet position, in exchange for Bernie to actively and aggressively campaign for him. My fear is that the berniebrosises will refuse to come on board regardless and that Bernie will be lukewarm in his support. And that dooms us to four more years of Team Trump Treason. Question for the berniebrosises, who is or was Bernie's standard torch bearer after 4 to 8 years, or is that the length of the "revolution?" Which young up and coming "independent/democrat" was going to continue the revolution? Seems a major mistake to alienate everyone around you and not grow your coalition, like the guy who "lost it."09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. Trump might beat them to it if stocks continue to slide.
More than half the gains dating back to his inauguration are gone. He must be furious. Poor baby.0 -
He’ll need it. That’d be bad for him to not have any debates between now and whenever he’d debate Trump. Probably in September. The Juggler said:He should have dropped out.

None of those debates with Liz mattered. Not because of her. But because it was a half-dozen people yelling at and over each other, most of which had no shot at the nomination. But a one-on-one debate could hold water. I don’t think either Biden or Trump will win the election based on debates, but they could lose votes based off a horrible debate.mrussel1 said:

I suppose a falling down, stumbling debate performance might make a difference. But in general, it's likability. The results this week proves that yet again. Clintons was not better liked than Trump. Obama was well liked. Bush was, Bill Clinton was... etc.Ledbetterman10 said:

If Biden stumbles over his words at a debate or looks confused, it will make it easier for people who want to believe there is no difference between he and Trump to do so. His strength is that he is a better person than Trump, but the debates may serve to reinforce that they are both old men, regardless of the fact that Trump is a blithering idiot. 63 million Republicans will vote for him.___________________________________________

Yes and yes. A falling down, stumbling debate performance is what I’m talking about possibly factoring in. And I agree that likability is a very important thing. That’s what hurt Liz and Bloomberg in the primary, and that’s what’s propelled Joe to where he’s at now.mrussel1 said:
