Katie Couric was on Bill Maher Friday night and said that she had spoken with someone in the Bloomberg campaign about the ads they were going to run targeting tRump. They hired people that are experts on narcissistic personality disorders and comedians to develop ads that will drive tRump insane. The Juggler said:
He’s hiring the right people. O’Brien literally wrote the book on Trump...and then got sued by Trump because he determined his net worth to only be around $150,00,000. He’s hiring the people who know the guy best. Makes sense.

It's fucking brilliant....and it's also pretty damning that no other democrat or even just the dnc, in general, thought of it first. They should've been running ads like this for a long time now.Gern Blansten said:

If you find yourself baffled about how Rs vote for Trump despite all his heinous shit, you can watch in real time as some Ds dance around Bloomberg's own words and policies0

Exactly....If I were advising any of the dem front runners I would be telling them to be on TV every day talking about tRump's fake hair, tan, teeth, his weight, his centaur stance, etc.The Juggler said:

While I agree with you about pointing out his faults and failures, everything you listed is old well known news.Gern Blansten said:

What should be stressed is what he has done and not done in the last three years. As well as how he has behaved and what he has not done and said.
They should stress the.....
Not knowing or caring about the constitution
Believing he is above the rule of law
Constant pathological lying
Racism
Xenophobia
Support of dictators and enemies
Alienation of friends and allies
Support of white nationalists
Support of white supremacists
His paranoia
His overall degenerate behavior

agreed but even though those things are known by most of the world they are not well known by the 40% chud that lives in the Fox news bubble. We need to humiliate him on every network for the most petty and ridiculous things to make those people think.Bentleyspop said:

He's right, we need entitlement cuts badly in this country. What we need is means testing for SS.PJPOWER said:

And did @Spiritual_Chaos and @PJPOWER actually read the op-ed? I'd be interested in each of you reading it, remembering what 2012 was like economically, and telling me specifically how Bloomberg was wrong in his assessment?0

Although I understand why you would say that, doing so would sure discourage people’s drive to save for their own retirement or would result in massive fraud (not that it doesn’t already exist). Again, I understand the thought behind means testing, but most would just see it as punishment for retirement savings through other avenues. Not sure I can get behind the means testing as a way of saving SS just yet.mrussel1 said:

For the record, personally, I hope to not be dependent on SS and am diligently investing and saving now in hopes of not having to work part time at wal mart when I’m retired. Actually, I don’t contribute to SS at all anymore since I now fall under TRS (teacher retirement), which is broken too.Post edited by PJPOWER on0 -
It depends on how means are defined. You could exclude IRA and 401(k)s from the equation easily. You would target people with high net worth through liquid assets, trusts, etc. Once you meet a certain economic threshold, you don't even go near IRAs because they offer no tax benefit. So these retirement vehicles do not work for the wealthy already. Something does need to be done to make it solvent. The boomers just keep living longer and there are so damn many...PJPOWER said:

Not sure if you are kidding about the first thing. They should definitely be talking about all the failures. They should be hammering him nonstop. Instead, these democrats are fighting among themselves. They love finding ways to lose.Gern Blansten said:
