Frank Pepe's is on the pizza bucket list but I doubt I will ever have a reason other than pizza to go to CT.
Any pizzzerias on the list in your neck of the woods?
Hell no! Closest would be Inferno (#82) which is about a 2 hour drive.

I was late getting home Friday and my only options at that time were Dominos and Papa John’s, so I went with Dominos. Got one w/green pepper & one white pie w/roasted red pepper & spinach. I was actually impressed with the white pie:

    Domino's?
Looks like a crust with some other item built in?

My first attempt in almost a decade. Everything from scratch. Pepperoni, Sopressata, ham and onion on the first.

Pesto Alfredo, chicken, bacon, garlic and oil marinated feta, peppers and onions on the other. I was happy and everyone who tried it wants more. Now I'm making four pizzas tomorrow on my day off...

Chili lime Mexican style deep dish as an experiment with the left over dough. Just as good, even if a little thicker than I prefer

^ Anytime you can say “best ever,” you know it’s some top notch pie! I’m jealous.

There s an equally impressive pizza place about 100 yards down the road (DeLorenzo’s s). This pizza to me was perfection, the crust, sauce and cheese were all in perfect harmony.

Number two on my list is Spamoni gardens in Brooklyn.

In March I am going to Mohegan sun and will take a side trip to frank Pepe s in new haven, Connecticut.  That could overtake papa s.

My two cents is to certainly get the clam one but also to get the standards and try a bunch.  I liked the standards more than the clam version.
The crust is out of this world on them all....and you wait in line for an hour, so you are twice as hungry.  ;)
