Benjs, since I cant tackle every thing you said in one sitting I will start with this,
    What makes Trump a racist?
So your hunch "non-whites and non males appreciate the much lower unemployment rates among the demographics but would rather it come from a president who has the basic ability to show basic respect towards the either groups"
What has Trump done to non-whites that makes him a racist?
And what do you say to the
non-white male & female/non-males who don't have a problem with him & support him?  Are they just dumb in your mind?
Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke for example said it this way,
I can give you a dozen more examples but I'll start with this.
    https://youtu.be/LvgrYCmyO7k

I said I didn't think non-whites and non-males would feel respected by him, not necessarily that he's a racist. This article sums it up nicely for me (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/01/15/opinion/leonhardt-trump-racist.html). The big ones for me are his checkered past - including when he and his dad tried to give preferential treatment in apartment rentals to white people, and an assortment of not necessarily racist but certainly culturally ignorant statements over his lifetime (and over his presidency). Many of his speeches have had these undertones.
And like any candidate, some voters are dumb, and some voters aren't dumb. I don't pretend to know the split, but my gut says it's a more intelligent crowd on average than is assumed.
Why an intelligent person might vote for Trump can be any number of reasons - always voting Republican, Democrats not doing the right thing, Republicans doing the right thing, personalities, the economy, seeing bills passed that enrich you through tax breaks (if you're wealthy), etc. The lack of respect I'm talking about (or you can call it 'insensitivity') can be outweighed if there's enough good and that's human nature.

He'll say as little as possible.  (I get to use your phrase) He's going to help Team Trump Treason.

Wouldn't it be funny if he turned heel on the house Dems?

"Damn you people. I'm retired! Yet you're making me miss my grandson's little league game to testify to things I've already detailed in my 400-page report! Oh you want me to say that you should impeach Trump? You need the reassurance of me saying that? Should I hold your dick for you while you pee as well?"

Then he drops the mic, gives the D-Generation X "suck it" motion, and walks out the room.

Yup, hard to get too excited about testimonies that will be exactly that. But at least it will be on record that the Trump admin is blocking transparency and constitutionally authorized (mandated) Congressional oversight.

Stating the obvious here but the point of the Mueller hearing is not to convert the 30%-35% Fox News echo chamber people. It's to speak to independents and the small amount of reasonable republicans that still remain...

A permanent stain on his presidency and showing the American people that only one party believes nobody is above the law.

It is literally their job to do it regardless of what happens in the senate.

    Is it still impending?
Yup. Team Mueller is testifying next week. What he won’t discuss might be more important than what he will.
He'll say as little as possible.  (I get to use your phrase) He's going to help Team Trump Treason.
And the Dems will try to make him say "TRUMP IS GUILTY!"

But he will keep saying, "If he was not guilty, than I would say so".
Which the GOP will interpret as "Mueller says he didn't do nuthin'!"
Stating the obvious here but the point of the Mueller hearing is not to convert the 30%-35% Fox News echo chamber people. It's to speak to independents and the small amount of reasonable republicans that still remain...
Well, not them, but in theory, it should be to inform GOP legislators.  But they won’t care.  They’re too scared of the 35%.
Well odds are there will be no conviction in the senate anyway (barring either an indictment or something big from the SDNY or a faster than anticipated crash of the economy). So fuck the GOP legislators.
So, at the risk of being cynical, what can this accomplish?

    Maybe historical perspective...
