The new album is phenomenal. Most bands putting out 16 songs would seem too long, but I don’t feel that way with this one. Beautiful from beginning to end.
Where can you stream new album?   I just know the songs they’ve released.  Or are you basing this off the live recordings ?

Speaking to NME ahead of their I Am Easy To Find album landing on Friday (17 May), frontman Matt Berninger revealed that they had other material from the album sessions, "We gave that to Mike [Mills - director of I Am Easy To Find] too, but he chose the other stuff. We write lots of stuff. We were going to take a year off, then we were going to go back after a long break and go in and try to make a record in two weeks; a rock record, live, those kinds of songs."

It is very different from what they have had before. I love Matt. A lil something different. It's good, not what I expected from them and believe it will have to get some more spins to grow on me.

My husband just came in, I told him what it was and his response was, "You are kidding me!" I guess he'll have to listen to it a bit more, because he is just not liking it at all.

This is essentially a concept album.  16 songs.  5-7 are really good and then the others are average or filler.   Still not bad music but definitely skipping a lot of songs on this album.

I'm really liking the new album...
with all the different "voices" it almost feels like more of a side project than a true album by The National to me.
It will be interesting to see how they do the new stuff live.
My favorite tracks so far are Quiet Light, Oblivions & Not In Kansas!!

Probably should have bought the black vinyl- the clear version is kinda noisy

Seeing some of it played live last night certainly did help me.  As I suspected, I listened to the album a few more times yesterday and it is growing on me.  Again, I never hated it, but I needed to step away from what I expect from a traditional album from The National and know this isn't it.

I was thinking the same thing...a little too much on the extra singers.  Would much rather just hear Matt sing!
