Also, Team Mueller didn’t find or couldn’t prove conspiracy, which is it? And 14 other continuing investigations spawned by Team Mueller. Defend that repubs.

    To not hold impeachment hearings and a floor vote because the senate won’t convict and remove is line an NFC team deciding not to play the 4th quarter against TB12 and the patriots because they’re going to lose. I’d rather go down fighting and being on the right side of history rather than walking away into the locker room with time on the clock.

    not negative. just realistic. I'm not against impeachment, I'm for it. I just think that doing it for "putting the repubs on record" is kind of a weak reason. mainly because I don't think it will matter to the electorate. All anyone will remember is if he gets impeached or not, not how people voted. people forgive voting down party lines. it's what's normal now. 

    I think you have to impeach because it's the right thing to do, not out of some revenge tactic. But either way, seems we agree. 
    Swing voters decide every election. So the political question to impeachment is whether dems will pick up swing voters as a result of it. And right now it’s probably too early to tell. 
    yes, they do. I'd like to know if there's been any studies on how much political news the typical swing voter ingests in a fed election cycle. more than your partisan, or less?

    It’s not about a “revenge tactic,” or sour grapes about losing an election. It’s about the rule of law and holding Team Trump Treason accountable to it as a co equal branch of government. Seems the Team Trump Treason Administration’s tactics of refusing subpoenas is convincing more dems to impeach. Growing a spine can take time.

    Really non-voters decide every election. The real test is seeing if all those Dems/liberals actually get their apathetic asses to the polling stations to make sure Trump doesn't win again.

    EDIT TO ADD: NYT has an article that details Mueller's extreme displeasure with the tactics Barr was taking. He wanted his letter to Barr included in the release.

    He lied to the Senate Committee when he testified about his report on the Mueller probe. Crist and Van Hollen - straight up lied. I wonder if there will be any reading of the report to Barr this week? I'd like for him to be read his rights, TBH.

    no. c'mon. opens with 2 wapo reporters(funded by wapo) and wapo secured 12 readers months in advance, ready to go when it was released. 36 chapters(am into ch 15, still in vol I). very well done so far. readers make it compelling to listen to. Its written in an easily understandable language. I assumed it would be a very dry document. Holy fuckballs, it aint dry.
    report released on the 18th. audiobook released on the 20th. 19 hrs long......

    10AM - Barr testifies Senate Committee. Supposed to testify for House Committee this week. And Mueller has been moved up to next week.
    Mueller just couldn't hold back anymore & we now know how pissed he is at Barr's characterization about his report. And he continued to lie after a letter & phone call from Mueller. 

    He lied to the Senate Committee when he testified about his report on the Mueller probe. Crist and Van Hollen - straight up lied. I wonder if there will be any reading of the report to Barr this week? I'd like for him to be read his rights, TBH.

    They ought to remove the "Hon" before CYA Barr's name on his name plate. Dianne is gettign after it and Barr couldn't answer a yes/no question as it relates to obstruction.

Also, Team Mueller didn’t find or couldn’t prove conspiracy, which is it? And 14 other continuing investigations spawned by Team Mueller. Defend that repubs.

    To not hold impeachment hearings and a floor vote because the senate won’t convict and remove is line an NFC team deciding not to play the 4th quarter against TB12 and the patriots because they’re going to lose. I’d rather go down fighting and being on the right side of history rather than walking away into the locker room with time on the clock.

They’re worth fighting for and they’re the ones who’ll make the difference. I’m not willing to cede that to Team Trump Treason.     not negative. just realistic. I'm not against impeachment, I'm for it. I just think that doing it for "putting the repubs on record" is kind of a weak reason. mainly because I don't think it will matter to the electorate. All anyone will remember is if he gets impeached or not, not how people voted. people forgive voting down party lines. it's what's normal now. 

    I think you have to impeach because it's the right thing to do, not out of some revenge tactic. But either way, seems we agree. 
    Swing voters decide every election. So the political question to impeachment is whether dems will pick up swing voters as a result of it. And right now it’s probably too early to tell. 
    Really non-voters decide every election. The real test is seeing if all those Dems/liberals actually get their apathetic asses to the polling stations to make sure Trump doesn't win again.
    Also true. If we had 90%+ turnout there would be few republicans in office anywhere.

    yes, they do. I'd like to know if there's been any studies on how much political news the typical swing voter ingests in a fed election cycle. more than your partisan, or less?
    Good question. It comes across as though they’ll respond to widespread stories, but only the superficial aspects. You see this in the week or two up to elections with October surprises. Willie Horton, swift boating, Comey letter, etc. It seems like if the candidate can resolve the swing voter uncertainty with a feeling of confidence, that helps. I this happened for Obama in 08 as the economy tanked in October. He picked up points on McCain because, I think, he projected confidence in being able to handle the sh*tshow. McCain came across as a bit lost.
