The Democratic Candidates

Let's not forget Hillary whupped Bernie 55 to 43. That's not particularly close. So I'm not sure I buy that Democrats are being sexist with the current leaders. The two top dogs are clearly the most known. That has a ton to do with it at this point.0

I personally don't think that democrats are being sexist, but there definitely is a case to be made that the media coverage (or lack there of) is sexist.mrussel1 said:Let's not forget Hillary whupped Bernie 55 to 43. Which women are bringing more to the table than let’s say Biden and Bernie?PJ_Soul said:
That everyone is pretty much completely focused on the men as all the front runners, despite the fact that there are women who actually bring more to the table. The males just automatically floated to the top.Spiritual_Chaos said:

HA!! Yeah, against a guy who said grab her by the pussy???? That does say a LOT about how people feel about voting for a female POTUS: that they aren't willing to. I think it is the height of naivety to think that Trump winning didn't have something to do with sexism. To me that is crazy talk. Pure denial. YES, America is too sexist to elect a female, and the polls compared to the quality of the dem candidates right now help prove it.my2hands said:

The point is that there is no way in hell that they can't find "the right person" in a woman, considering how underrepresented women are by government (and considering that a woman has never held either of the two spots in the history of the nation), combined with the number of amazing women there are to choose from. There is no way in hell that a male running mate would be best over a great woman. Well, the right person for POTUS is a woman too, but America is still too sexist for that probably.F Me In The Brain said:Why?
I'm all for the P or VP being the right person, regardless of gender...but why would a male P need to choose a female running mate?
You forgot a woman just got 3 million more votes than her opponent in a national election?
Guess what, we aslo voted for a black man, twice!
Did you think Sarah Palin was a good vp choice?I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

This is how we got stuck with Chief Dumbo Drop as POTUS. Personally I am happy to vote for a woman, a person of color, a man, or whomever I like best for the job. Having a penis or a vagina will not automatically make someone the best, for POTUS, in my estimation. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

I believe that largely to be true. She was the beginning. She is what really got the Tea Party ball rolling, and she is what completely destroyed all logical political standards for leadership in the White House once and for all for a huge swath of Republican voters (the dumb ones - it's amazing how many of those there are).Spiritual_Chaos said:

Second, I don't like what Warren is bringing. She's just throwing every possible policy against the wall and seeing what sticks. I mean, break up Amazon and Google? Are you kidding me? Im not voting for that.
I like Biden because he's moderate. Im a moderate. I tend to believe Harris is closer to moderate but I don't know enough yet. Biden is known to me and he brings a wealth of experience particularly in foreign policy. Warren, Harris and Amy don't come close.0
