I hate and disagree with your mentality. The few payments that democracies ask in return for the services it offers are adherence to its laws, due payment of taxes, and providing it guidance for the direction we want it to move in. If I ever choose to bring humans into this place (not on my to-do list), they will know that until they're old enough to leave the democracy they've been born into, they will know that it's their responsibility to guide the democracy. That means if you can't be bothered to research the candidates, you show up and you let the government know you think all the candidates are woefully inadequate. Anything else is lazy, and not doing your part for the democracy.Meltdown99 said:

2) Democracies have no interest in some of its citizens, and yet they keep serving them. It's the population's obligation to reciprocate.
3) You mock those who state that their democracy is real, then you suggest that in a democracy voters shouldn't feel obligated to vote. You are therefore dirtying the democracy, and a part of the reason the democracy is 'fake'
4) Pretty sure I've both condemned regionally-based elitism, and Toronto's elitism, both on here. I've also talked about my eventual plans to leave for Seattle.

I don't know if that's true. Biden has nothing but negative attention right now. Warren has been pushed aggressively by Huff and other liberal publications. I'm just not that the party is as progressive as her. She has thrown out a ton of ideas. While that can appeal to more people, it can also set her back. The media that's focusing on those (gasp!) white men are probably doing so at the behest of the DNC. The same way the GOP influences what Fox News does, so does the DNC for MSNBC/CNN. If the DNC thinks Warren isn't worth covering, the media will abide. They want to beat Trump and they must think that Warren doesn't have a chance. But they were wrong pushing Hillary over Bernie, so they could be wrong here too. I actually like that Warren seems to have some fight in her, but I don't think she's very electable. And it has nothing to do with her not being a white man. If I was a democrat that could vote in their primary, I'd vote for her over Beto in the heartbeat. It would've showed that she can debate and disagree with someone but still work with them (unlike Trump who at the time was just stomping on the throats of his GOP adversaries), and more importantly, the Bernie supporters that didn't bother to vote in the general election would have come out to vote him to the Vice-Presidency. But I'd take your $20 bet because I haven't seen Hillary take any accountability for losing the election. Damn, I like Biden but he's being cagey and coy about running. Think he could totally do well in debates, so much so that Donald would be tempted to only do one, or cancel if it went bad but the groping stuff, it's like glue. The right will crucify Biden for what he's done but all the women with complaints on Trump? Nothing! They'll say "the people voted, and they don't care what Trump did". Now, I'd love Elizabeth Warren, she's damned smart but every candidate will be labeled Socialist. The perfect guy might be Mayor Pete - guy is a veteran, mayor and gay.
