Politics is poisoning everything. It's a fucking halftime show lolI think why I hold that opinion is obvious, whether you happen to agree or not - was that a rhetorical question? With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Giants should sign Kaepernick until the end of the season. He won't get sacked as often as Eli.

I think the NFL has mishandled this from the start, but they are certainly worried about the dollars. But I'm glad it has backed off on its stance and is no longer threatening anyone who kneels, etc. That's a step in the right direction. You can also see that Trump doesn't see it as a winner anymore, therefore not harping on it.
If I were an artist with liberal tendencies, I would actually play the halftime. The solution is to expand the viewership beyond its perceived older white crowd, into something closer to the NBA (yes, I know that's a long way away). The NFL needs to be America's league, not the Republican league.0 -

and how could Jay-Z (ore pretty much any hip hop artist) play the Super Bowl if you can't curse or use the n-word?0 -

I'll say one thing for Kaepernick, they replayed Super Bowl 47 on NFL Network a few nights ago and man, he really balled out in that game. If not for some god-awful playcalling on the 49ers final four plays, they might have won the game and he would certainly have been the MVP.
But he also fell from "5 yards away from winning the Super Bowl" to "benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert." That's quite a fall in a three-year stretch. And when he got a chance to play in 2016, he often looked disinterested out there. But despite going 1-10 as a starter that year, he really didn't play that bad if ya look at his stats.
I contend that he's not being colluded against. Teams just don't want the headache and circus that would come with signing him. I actually think the same thing happened to Tebow. You'd be hard-pressed to find a guy that would work harder and represent your team in the community as well as Tebow. But do you really want the Skip Bayless show setting up shop outside your training camp to cover (and obsess over) your second-string QB? I guess not.

He said he'd play in the AAF for $20 million or more.
I guess he really does think he's pretty awesome.

I wonder what the settlement was...cause the burden of proof was on Kaep and Reid and it didn't look like they were going to meet it.
