Sure, I guess ... I'm not buying this author's interpretation of the the situation either, especially not her theory about that expression on that kid's face. I actually now think things are swinging way too far the other way. I agree that he never looked confused, or wondered how he could finish his song. The more compelling argument is the one about the uselessness of the whole exercise and that Twitter mob is out of control. It is. It is just another example of the daily outrage machine careening from team red to team blue, with only greater division ensuing.

What I’d give you is that it’s a bigger story than what it might typically have been given the ‘uniforms’ the kids are proudly wearing as they shit all over that old man. And for good reason- Trump’s America is one that deserves every bit of attention it should earn for itself. It's been alluded to already in this thread, but the MAGA red hat has become very symbolic- like it or not... it's a poor man's white, conical hat.

Don't shy away from the good fight. Don't let losers open the door and get a foot in. There's no 'two sides with good people' in stories such as these. The division is occurring because scumbags are trying to promote hatred and good people are standing up to the tactic. It's critically necessary.

I still don't think the kids did anything wrong and the new video that surfaced proves my point.

Something that I found interesting as I was reading and watching the videos that I hadn't known. The kids crowd got bigger and bigger because it was their meeting place to get back on the bus after sight-seeing. I originally thought they were all together on the mall the entire time. So they weren't a growing mob.

I still think the kids certainly could have handled it better despite their youth. And they are finding out that stuff you wear allows others to prejudge (sometimes on point, other times not) you.

Kinda funny how the Black Israelites or whatever weren't part of this story for a long time. They were the instigators of everything. Tough guys with tough words getting down to the core the beliefs of the native americans and the high school kids. Verbally assaulting them with derogatory remarks. Threatening to beat down anyone who gets too close to them. Big tough men.

So I accidentally tuned into Rushbo this morning on my drive in. He’s all agitated and ranting and raving, I caught mid rant, and all I hear is “the black Caucasian movement” and I pushed a pre-set for sports talk. Nice rhetoric from the VP. And I didn’t know there was a black Caucasian movement. Interesting.
