He is the worst.  I'll never forget the night before Stanton got traded, when it was all but done and the trade was done but not announced, he tweeted over and over and over again about how the Yankees were not getting Stanton

    What is happening

There is going so going to be a strike
if the agents didn't take 4 months to have their players sign you wouldn't be having these issues.  stop trying to bleed every last dollar and be the last stud to sign and you wouldn't have media reporting on it for 4 months.  Boras is going to bleed every last dollar from a team and will wait as long as possible to get as much as possible. as long as he and other agents do that the media and fans are going to speculate and report as much as they hear.  so fuck whoever wrote that above as they are as much of the problem as the media...end of my rant...

Agents wouldn’t take 4 months to sign their players if they were getting deals they felt were fair. You would be team ownership

And yeah, god forbid someone wants to work for the most money possible. I’m sure you’d just jump at the first offer in your profession.

Yeah what else are agents supposed to do???  Especially with MLB not having a salary cap.  If I were a player I'd 100% want Boras as my agent.

i work harder at my job than Manny Machado does.  this guy's player admitted he doesn't hustle. admitted it during a free agency year. i am supposed to feel bad that a guy who admits he is a dog might not get 10 years and $300 million?  puh--leeze

agents calling out people for integrity is pretty funny. an industry of corrupt and deceitful human beings.  I get their job is to get as much as they can for their clients. i fully understand that but the media's job is to drive interest.  agents use the media as much for their gain as the media uses their clients.  it's bullshit for an agent to call out the media and/or the fans in my opinion.

Who said anything about feeling bad? Pretty sure I’m never going to feel bad for a guy who is arguing over more money than any of us will ever see.

I am sure there are things in your job that ate equilivent to running to first base that you take shortcuts on.

Alriiiiight. Scott Stapp let me back in, baby.

But, yeah, I don't fault agents or players wanting to maximize the amount of money they receive. Also, I'd say the greatest reason things are the way they are are because 1) the finances of baseball have swung in favor of the players back to the teams - I wouldn't call it "gaming" the system, they just know how much more valuable a GM is (andI'd say baseball GMs do not get paid remotely even close to what they're worth); and 2) the sport from a competitive standpoint needs refining/improvement - and this counteracts #1 as there is plenty of room to argue the idea of collusion in the sport.

I don't know if it's collusion or just only a few teams can even consider guys like Machado and Harper.  It's not good for the game when only about 5 teams have a chance at signing stars. Heck even the Yankees are looking to be fiscally responsible these days because they don't want to go too far over the luxury tax.   There needs to be a salary cap and salary floor so the finances are spread out more evenly amongst teams.  It will most likely never happen in baseball though.

Almost every team could afford at least one of them if they wanted.

I think there's room for improvements; haven't totally fleshed out this idea but maybe you have some kind of deadline for "preliminary" offers, possibly only for "qualified" players or "Type A or B" like they used to be labeled.
