    That Gelb article is awesome. Athletic subscription pays dividends.

    My take on it now is Johnny Cigar is a fucking genius. Doesn't take much to sway me, I'm easy!

    It's funny to watch how these writers get played by GMs and agents.  Nightengale is horrible.  And holy shit I wish these guys would just sign already....driving me nuts.  Harper to the Phillies and Machado to the Sox...let's do it!

    god i hate this album
    Johnny Guitar is horrible.  Agree the album itself doesn't hold up very well.

    Looks like Halladay is a lock for the Hall of Fame.  Awesome pitcher, but pretty sure he is in the 50%-60% range if things didn't end the way they did.

    Yeah I think he'd have ultimately got in, but wouldn't be first ballot (probably at least 4-5 year wait) if he hadn't gone John Denver.

    If 175 is legit, you should definitely get both.  I have not thought that you guys getting both made much sense at closer to $300 or more for each. Of course you could afford it (any team really could), but it would deeeefinitely hamstring you bad in the future and if you don't win immediately or one disappoints, you're in big trouble, especially when guys like Nola and Hoskins are going to have to get paid, but this is getting dumb.

    If that's true, that's absurd.  But I don't think any of these writers know anything.  I've seen the White Sox offer being anywhere from 7/175M to 8/250M.  I just want it all to end.

    Yeah, Heyman and Passan saying it's not true. I put stock into it since it was Olney, but yeah. He's also not signing for that regardless.
