not sure so many are hoping/thinking festivals? I think its pretty clear. First, mew music, next tour. Most likely in the states/canada as they toured Europe last year. Seems obvious to me. Only real question is when?0

I'm on vacation the week of the slightly rumored Woodstock appearance. Good to know I wouldn't have to worry about changing a trip elsewhere to attend a Woodstock festival."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0

Who who who and who? Kids really dont like guitar music these days. Their loss.
Tool might hit the snooze button again this year. MJKs latest "it comes out when its ready" doesnt sound as promising.
The goal must be to name the new album 5000 days.0 -
Yeah, not great, but they already have some festivals and a Euro tour on the calendar, so it has to be coming soon.Lerxst1992 said:

Yeah my timing was poor, because we have good news, Maynard is done with the vocals!

It seems popular music is mostly manufactured beats and blip blorps.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Personally, Cirez D, Deep Dish and Nicole Moudaber would be enough to get me there if the scene wasn't so "look at me! I'm at Coachella." YOLO FOMO or whatever the fuck they say these daysgiven2fly23 said:

Since its festival announcement season thought I'd share this, I know every year theres a fake bonnaroo poster but this popped up today....maybe its a good thing they don't seem to be on festival bills. Hopefully we get a nice headlining tour this year or early next.

Anybody else get that "calm before the storm" feeling recently. I've just got a feeling we are in for some non-lame PJ news within the next 30 days."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0

I hope so but why the secrecy and no legitimate rumours this time? Not one rumour for a hold on an arena or something along those lines. All we have is a wishlist of bands for Woodstock 50 to go off of.darwinstheory said:Anybody else get that "calm before the storm" feeling recently. I still think it is all about the festivals unless they really are working on a new record. If they are working on a record, I do not expect much until later in the year.0
-
Playing a few festivals refreshes their nationwide popularity, thus generating more buzz a few months later or a record release and tour. Just my speculation of course."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0

Well Ed is in Hawaii and mike is doing his thing in Seattle so I can’t see how they are recording as a band.Get_Right said:I still think it is all about the festivals unless they really are working on a new record. Festivals for the second half of the year are usually announced in April (Osheaga, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, ACL, Voodoo Fest). Without any current rumours or holds on venues leaking, I doubt PJ is playing anywhere the first half of 2019. I’d imagine any touring would be structured around at least a couple of the festivals I mentioned.0
-
Agreed. It is really looking like it is 2013 all over again though I am really curious if they will tour in October this go around. Voodoo Fest was announced in April in 2013 and the rest was announced in early July. That or we are getting fuck all this year.Ryan said:Festivals for the second half of the year are usually announced in April (Osheaga, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, ACL, Voodoo Fest).
