What did you think of Clay Pigeons?
Great cinematography and music, and if I remember correctly, Janeane Garofalo did a wonderful job basically playing herself.

I saw it once in the cinema when it came out, so I don't remember anything else, really.

“the cinema.” how pretentious can you get?

Since we are discussing gangster movies, what about casino?! The one scene when they pretty much popped the guys head still creeps me out.

Casino is great. Fairly accurate too. Nicky is a bad dude in that movie.

    Sheesh.

Scent of a Woman was a good Pacino movie too (but if memory serves me correct... it was longer than 21 minutes so likely a bust around these parts).

Scent or a woman was good for a laugh.  His overacting was lame and funny at the same time.

  • Hey, if anybody has favorite scenes of actors trying to cry, post those suckers! I think Ben Affleck is my go-to awkward tear shedder.

The dentist scene from Marathon Man made me squirm.

I never heard of this film and I watched a few scenes yesterday.  God damn I hate you.  My teeth actually hurt yesterday!

This may apply to some people here, but I’m a megafan of David Lynch, Akira Kurosawa, Ingmar Bergman, Terrence Malik, Spike Lee and Stanley Kubrick—all of whom have masterpieces that run way longer than two hours. I have no issue with longer running times—as long as what’s been filmed is actually interesting.

There’s absolutely nothing interesting about Scarface

    He's a sly one.

And while we're on the subject of mob movies and the Coen Brothers, they quite possibly made the best one.

I'm generally on The Godfather: Part II train, when it comes to this argument (which has a running time of three hours and twenty minutes, so suck on that, @Thirty Bills Unpaid ), but I think I could make a pretty strong case for this one.

Back when Blockbuster was a thing, I tried to rent Scent of a Woman one time.  They didn't have it so I got  A FIsh Called Wanda instead.
