The distraction stuff is a bit overblown too, IMO. People said the same stuff about Mike Vick before Andy Reid took a chance on him. The distraction lasted a little while but dissipated as the weeks went by. Different situation here, obviously. The locker room would be divided. There would definitely be players supporting Kap, but there would be just as many in the opposite corner. The inevitable locker room fragmentation is not something teams wish to inherit and manage for a QB that-sure- might be better than a guy like Sanchez... but hardly one to take a team to heightened performance levels.
