  • I like the idea that Trump really needs to win re-election in order to avoid getting convicted for all his crimes, we know now he has done, as a private citizen.
So he is now more likely to do illegal stuff (say with the Russians) in the next campaign which means, well, this ain't ever gonna end is it?

The most egregious felonies committed by Team Trump Treason and his complicitors have yet to be revealed by Team Mueller. But they’re coming and they are at the heart of Team Mueller’s charge. The integrity of the senate as an institution will be on trial as will the repub senators who continue to stick by him despite the overwhelming evidence. The cracks are already forming. Wider, deeper and bigger than Watergate. Much bigger.

  • And here's thing, despite what many others on these forums believe, I still have faith in our system, the checks and balances. If Team Mueller's report doesn't find impeachable offenses, highly unlikely in my mind, I'll accept it and we'll all move on. I take comfort that in two years, we'll have an election and our nightmare of a presidency will be over

I just don't see how on Earth you can say with such certainty that in two years, Trump will be out of the White House. I'm not saying it can't happen, because of course it could. But you talk like it's a foregone conclusion. I just can't believe there's STILL people like you that think  "Well this sideshow will be over soon and then we'll get back to normal." Think of how many people thought that during the summer of 2016? And while I didn't think that (I thought Trump was very real, and very dangerous from the moment he came down the escalator), I understood the point of view from those (like my father for example) that thought Trump's insane and had no chance to win. I totally get where you guys were all coming from. But you were wrong. And it's fine to be wrong once. But fool me once.....

Didn't we already know that from Cohen's guilty plea a month or so ago?  Recycling news.

Nothing is happening to Trump.  If there was anything to do with Russia you think you would want it solved before the midterms.  Mueller is a fucking lawyer...good at milking the system.

The midterms didn't and shouldn't have anything to do with his work.  In fact,  the DOJ guidelines advise against any filings regarding political leaders after Sept 1 to prevent the appearance of influencing the election.  This is why the Comey memo in October was so out of bounds.

Plenty of factors came together perfectly for trump, the Comey letter, Russian dominance over social media, their hacking of emails and private dnc strategy files, which aligned perfectly with a horrible democratic candidate who could not come up with a reasonable explanation of her email server. The dems should have a much better candidate this time.

To get reelected, trump will have to overcome a party that for the first time ever, received as many votes in a midterm as the sitting president received to get elected.

Trump should be the 2020 underdog, unless the DNI does not have a handle on outside  interference

For wearing the hat? For his loyalty to the orange one?

Or for going back to his roots and showing us exactly how an idiot navigates his way through life aside from his moronic political persuasion?

Whatever the reason... you are correct... he’s an idiot hahahhahaha!

Nothing screams ‘I’m a f**king idiot’ like a red MAGA hat.

To have to try to save Team Trump Treason from himself? Why? I wouldn’t wish that role or responsibility on anyone.
