    I'm lazy.  Someone help me with this question.  Was it illegal for Donald Trump to be involved in or aware during his campaign of a building negotiation in Russia?   I'm just wondering what will be the item that causes Republicans to impeach.  That certainly won't.  Paying off some women won't.   I haven't heard anything yet that will make him be impeached.  Is it going to be perjury that does it?

    No, he could do whatever he wanted to during the campaign in terms of legal business deals. The problem is all the lying since as well as possible collusion between him and/or his campaign and the Russians to affect the election in Trump's favour. As well as, of course, Trump's continuing involvement in his business affairs and everything that involves because he's POTUS, the way he's been fraudulently using the Trump Foundation, etc.

    Mickeyrat posted a link that explains it pretty well but I think it’ll be perjury, obstruction of justice and conspiracy that will cause the senate to convict as it’ll be an election issue. Team Mueller has very intelligently listed the house and senate intelligence committees as what spurred Cohen’s recent plea deal. The integrity and honor of the senate will be on trial. Never mind the money laundering and tax evasion as a private citizen, candidate and potentially, President elect. There’s a reason we have a FICA. I believe Team Trump Treason violated it and have stated as such well before today.

    Not sure what will make some republican senators turn. Right now we’re just at the surface of quid pro quo, or what trump supporters refer to as trump doing business transactions. It’ll be clearer soon what trump knew in the timeline. Meaning when was there proof of his knowledge of russian election meddling vs proof of his continuing deals with russia. This doesn’t even touch on The selling of American foreign policy to the Saudis and Russians.

    Yeah, I think using this for all things Trump until the other one is reopened will work just fine. Both threads are basically one in the same.
