    No one in this country is above the law, including the President of the United States. Our Constitution makes clear that the impeachment process is how Congress holds executive branch officials accountable for wrongdoing and criminal misconduct.

    By any reasonable measure, this is the most corrupt administration in modern history. That’s why I joined my colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee today in voting to establish procedures to govern our impeachment investigation of President Donald Trump, as we actively consider whether to recommend Articles of Impeachment to the full House.

    Over the coming weeks, we will collect evidence, consider the testimony of witnesses, and make a decision on whether to consider Articles of Impeachment. It’s critical that we uncover the truth that President Trump is trying to hide from the American people.

    This lawless President must be held accountable for his actions. That’s what we intend to do through this impeachment investigation.
