Talk about hypocrisy. Hillary gets villified when in fact, if you asked anyone who has worked with her, including repub senators in that most exclusive club of 100, they all say how hard she worked, how much effort she put in in understanding the issues, the complexities, the minutua of policy and yet, its all due to being married to Bill.
And yes, if she divorced Bill and ran for the senate, she'd still get elected.

Not sure this is the right thread for this link, but right after I wrote my post up above, I read this. I think it's pretty interesting:All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0

Why are you talking about Hillary in a Trump thread? What is it about strong powerful women that gets people so riled up? I happen to disagree with your premise, that had she not been FLOTUS, she wouldn't have gotten where she was/is. Hence the remark about your daughters. Because thats what you're saying. A women is still identified more by who she marries than what her accomplishments, education, etc. say about her. Still, in the 21st Century. Imagine that.HughFreakingDillon said:

Obviously nobody can say definitively obviously, but I don't think one should try and argue against the idea that Hillary may very likely have been just as successful (at least) if she hadn't been Bill's wife. I don't understand why you said that. She's is incredible tough and smart in her own right, and has always been extremely motivated, and IMO is the one who really forged and nurtured most of the important relationships along the way that helped to get her husband into office.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
I said that in response to Halifax's assertion that she would have been elected to the senate even if she hadn't married bill. that is impossible to know.PJ_Soul said:Obviously nobody can say definitively obviously, but I don't think one should try and argue against the idea that Hillary may very likely have been just as successful (at least) if she hadn't been Bill's wife. you know, conversations tend to meander and evolve and then eventually get back on topic. go back and read. i don't know who brought her up.
Behind every great man stands a greater woman.I think old Bill himself acknowledges that she is smarter and tougher than he is. She got damn far before he became president. Like her or dislike her, pause for a second to think about the obstacles women her age faced back in the day.

Things not to do as President...
Alienate and insult the press
Alienate and insult the intelligence community
Alienate and insult the military
Alienate and insult friendly countries
Alienate and insult most Americans
Cozy up to murderous dictators
Cozy up to hate groups
Aspire to be an anti-constitutionalist
Act like an immature, petulant, spoiled 5 yr old
