Honestly - this does kinda show what has become of congress. People should be able to serve regardless of their bank account. I would think it would be smart to have a stipend of some kind for senators below a certain income bracket. Goes away obviously once paid in congress for a while.

I was being a bit glib, but the point is, once her job starts, she will have plenty of money to get a place. Yes, prior to and just shortly after she will have to improvise just as millions of people do. And I am sure she will not be the first or last Rep to face this. Difference is they just deal with it. The House was meant to be this way, The Senate is a whole other story. That would be atypical.

I started this thread because of the GoFundMe page. There were others that got shut down because they most likely weren't her. This current one most likely isn't her either.
I don't think that Ms Ocasio-Cortez would start a GoFundMe page for an apartment for how it would look, I could be wrong, we will find out soon enough.
There was also no pages on her which I thought was interesting. She does deserve her own page.
She has a tough road ahead of her. Let's see how she does.0 -
