anyone else get up early to watch the Super Showdown from Australia?  I didn't get up at 5 so missed about the first 2 hours.
I felt some of the matches were rushed. I would give the PPV a solid B, and maybe that's being generous. They've had worse PPVs in my opinion.
like the Miz/Bryan match? It was ok I thought.

Looks like Lashley turned heel and Owens face last night?  I'm ok with it but KO is probably a better heel though.  And I thought Enzo was annoying but Lio Rush might be more annoying.

Who knows, honestly? WWE are not great with their booking of people on either side of the heel and babyface divide in terms of how they display their allegiance. The heels are regularly booked to be terrified of everyone. Granted there needs to be heels that display this trait, but not every single one of them. Also, the babyfaces are regularly scripted to say complete asshole stuff in promos or behave like just complete jocks.

WOW, intersting way to kick off RAW

Roman Reigns vacating the universal title cause of his leukemia.  He's been fighting it for 11 years and now it's back.  Like him or hate gotta feel for him.

Sad to hear this. My mother passed away from cancer just a month ago so it hits closer to home than it might have in the past. Hopefully he's able to beat it.

it was a pretty decent RAW otherwise with Dean finally turning heel and Elias turning face.

Alicia Fox is replacing her in the match and it seems to be that she's going to be at ringside. I feel for Alexa as facing Trish Stratus was her dream.

I wonder if that match went from one of the main events to first match on the card?

Yeah. It was the opener tonight. Remember that it was originally supposed to be 2 singles matches. It's a good thing Alicia Fox was part of storyline.

yea i saw that it was the opener. I just wondered if it was dropped from one of the main events. Maybe thought they would start the Mae Young Classid match first

I would have always had that tag team match as the opener, then I would have gone with the 6 woman tag, and then the Mae Young Classic Final, followed by the battle royal. The sequence of the last 3 matches was perfect. I like when cards build like that, with more on the line in each.

anyone watch the Crown Jewel PPV this afternoon?

I caught part of it, it was ok.  Lesnar squashing Strowman was a letdown.  Styles/Samoa Joe was ok, I like Styles but thought Samoa Joe should be champion.World Cup tournament was ok, kinda disappointed that Shane won though.

The highlight for me was Brock Lesnar beating Braun Strowman again. Everyone was expecting the opposite. I'm a huge Lesnar fan, so I'm biased.

The overuse of finishing moves is just out of control....they mean nothing anymore.  So many of these top title matches just come off as lazy and gimmicky (in a bad way)
  • ConorKavanaghConorKavanagh Ireland Posts: 1,148
On the one hand, I agree with you. I wish that finishing moves were more protected than they are. No one used to kick out of finishing moves before. However, logically it would make sense for someone to repeatedly go for their strongest move earlier in a fight if they're able to hit it I think.

That was one of the better RAW's.  Unfortunately looks like Rousey/Lynch is off for Survivor Series at the moment :disappointed:
If this was to happen they better make it the main event.

NXT was pretty solid (least the last three matches were)

    Survivor Series tonight:
    Brock Lesnar over Daniel Bryan
Seth Rollins over Shinsuke Nakamura By DQ (either Dean interferes or Shinsuke low blows him)
Ronda Rousey over Charlotte Flair (maybe with help from the Horsewomen?)
    The Bar over AOP
RAW women over Smackdown women (Survivors: Tamina and Ruby Riott)
Smackdown tag team over RAW tag team (Survivors: USO's, Sanity and The Club)
RAW men over Smackdown men (Survivors: Drew McIntyre and maybe Braun Strowman)
Mustafa Ali over Buddy Murphy for the 205 belt

I think my favourite match might have been the mens elimination tag. For some reason I just loved the chaotic nature of it. I don't usually dig those.
