Pretty sure it was a joke. Bush 43 once joked that being president would be a lot easier if we had a dictatorship--or something to that effect. Plenty of things to get riled up about...not sure this is one of them.www.myspace.com0 -

Throw some names out there. Who do you think would be a good POTUS because they've been successful in the business world and why? Take the money out of politics, Citizens United, and you'd see more of those types run. -Both must feign allegiance to clients and staff, but are allegiant to their bank accounts (optics -> success)
-Both see ethics and justice as negotiable when their bank accounts are threatened (optics -> success)
-Both have plentiful opportunities for corruption and structures which fail to prevent that corruption (corruption -> success)
-Both successfully peddle their product (be it ideas, votes, or products) to easily manipulatable populations (exploitation -> success)
I'm starting to feel like the resident nihilist, but pick a politician or a businessperson - the system itself is FUBAR when politicians are more successful when they embrace optics, exploitation and corruption to fill their pockets, than when they don't. I don't see how capitalism and democracy, especially with a dumb population, can sustainably coexist.
Seems that the cracks are already there, if it isn't already game over. I think back to Ishmael, where the early flying machine pioneer flies his plane off the cliff, and thinks he's flying until the instance where he hits the ground.'05 - TO, '06 - TO 1, '08 - NYC 1 & 2, '09 - TO, Chi 1 & 2, '10 - Buffalo, NYC 1 & 2, '11 - TO 1 & 2, Hamilton, '13 - Buffalo, Brooklyn 1 & 2, '15 - Global Citizen, '16 - TO 1 & 2, Chi 2

Oh and this doesn’t actually address my point. My point wasn’t that all business people are better than politicians. Just that I’m pissed that this fake business person may have ruined it for others who could actually do a good job.I would agree that leadership skills are transferable. Two issues in the particular case of Agent Orange: 1) He knows nothing -- nothing at all -- about our laws, our Constitution, and how government works. A good business leader could be a good president, assuming they had bothered to learn anything about the government and how it works. This guy couldn't be bothered. 2) He's not a good leader. My husband has, over the course of his career, received a lot of leadership training. Agent Orange's management style, such as it is, is the antithesis of what is being taught. Rather, he is an example of a toxic leader. So I think I'm agreeing with you. A good business leader could be a good president. What we have now is neither. All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0 -

Instilling confidence every step of the way. It’ll take Team Trump Treason a week, maybe two, to read it. But he’s holding out hope for pictures, lots and lots of pictures.
