Multiple people wrote about their experiences in high school and college in these same environments earlier in the thread - go back a couple pages and read them. What decent person? Decency has nothing to do with the people who have every right to attend a party. It is the people who choose to sneak around doing immoral acts that have no decency. How is one to know which parties that this will happen. This was discussed in length earlier today. If you are truly interested, go back and read.

His own college roommate and the girl friend of his buddy Judge has spoken up about what he confessed to her about this. And I agree. Except that from most accounts it seemed aiming to witness such acts have stated it was a regular thing. Which would make it easy to avoid if you wanted to. So I’m not sure what right minors, or anyone has for that matter, to knowingly attend a party with illegal drugs, underage drinking and sexual harassment. I’m not sure if the right to attend exists.
Perfectly reasonable to not defend K for that reason.
I haven’t defending him because even though I’m not convinced the accusations are accurate, im also not convinced they aren’t. Again, I see nothing wrong with asking “if these gang rapes were so common, why did you regularly attend?” Id like to hear that answer from her. It doesn’t mean I don’t believe her, it doesn’t mean she deserved to get abused. It just means something didn’t add up to me and I want her to fill in the gaps before I make further judgements.

Some people, here in the 21st century, refuse to try to understand what happens to women and why or what they did, or didn’t do, 35 or 36 years ago, to avoid being a sexual assault victim or failing to report it. Instead, they prefer to make the women explain themselves so they can attempt to understand the “how,” rather than expect the men to explain the, “Why,” and if they do, accept it at face value. 1 in 6 women are likely to be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. Go ask 20 female family members and friends if it’s happened to them. Ask them why they didn’t tell anyone or make it stop and whether they knew the guy did it once or regularly. Ask your mom, your spouse or partner, sister, friends. Listen. Then ask yourself if you believe them.

It's common, not unusual. You can find girls who do this in literally every high school and college in America.

I gotta ask, is it really common for girls to think guys are drugging or getting girls drunk, locking them in a room and guys lining up outside the room each taking a turn? You're wasting your time. These are the same people who didn't have enough to think that any of the 2 dozens accusations brought against Trump were valid, short of a video being released depicting the incident, but even then, uh, locker room talk.

I guess there are still a large percentage of males who find ways to avoid addressing the actual root of the problem and the systematic power imbalance there is to being a male in the situations described. They get more hung up on if the women have every exact detail accurate in their statement than if the male is intentionally lying about 10% of his. In these situations, the female must meet all of these criteria if it's true; report it immediately, have been sober, clearly stated no multiple times, tried to fight off the assaulter, not be sexually active besides a monogamous relationship, not reciprocate any of the sexual advances leading up to the assault and had a witness. Then, maybe then, will the male be prosecuted.
