In answer to Dunk's dessert island question:
1. Stone, for obvious reasons
2. Only 3?!! Can't possibly choose
3. Book - Can't choose. Movie - Finding Nemo probably
4. One crate of red wine, Wolfblass preferably20/04/06 ~ 23/08/06 ~ 09/09/06
14/09/06, 16/09/06, 17/09/06, 19/09/06, 20/09/06 ~ The Stone lookalike leg of the 2006 tour

1. which person would you like to be stranded with and why?
2. 3 albums you'd have?
3. 1 book and 1 movie?
4. 1 crate of what booze?I don't know. I don't think I'd pick any of PJ cos while I idolise them they might be wankers in real life
I doubt it though but just in case I'd have to pick somebody I know... hmm... I just don't know.
2. Also, haven't got a clue... probably the Dublin boot. Since a desert island is likely to be sunny, I'll need something summery like Tom Pettys greatest hits... and a third
Hmm... I'll get back to ya
Maybe LZ III
3. Book: 10,000 ways to survive on a desert island.
Movie: Almost famous.
4. I would have to say a crate of Jameson... even though I hate whiskey & whisky it would last a lot longer than a crate of bulmers or a crate of wine and I'm sure I'd develop a taste for it. Also good for medicinal purposes

Firstly I'd like to say I'd rather being on stoney's dessert island than Dunk's desert island but ...
1. Matthew McConaghey - he's single so I'm not leaving someone partnerless / fatherless. Very nice to look at, I could listen to him recite the dictionary with that Southern drawl ... and there's a few other things I could think of to keep us occupied. Also bonus for you lot he wouldn't be able to make any more of those crap rom coms
2. PJ - Benaroya Hall, Jeff Buckley - Live at Sine (Legacy Edition) and Chris Cornell - Euphoria Morning ... but if you asked me tomorrow it would probably be something different
3. The three musketeers as I've been meaning to read it and Stand By Me ... the first movie that left me speechless after the first time I watched it
4. I don't really drink much and when I do drink it tends to be when there is Champagne doing the rounds so I guess a case of Champers will have to doSo are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?0 -
hmmm... good answers to some of them
i like H's whiskey idea... i'm not that fond of it.. can drink it now and again, but it would be good for medicinal reasons
1. Billy Connolly
2. Yield, Aha Shake and Stone Roses
3. Beatles Anthology book and Godfather II
4. crate of 25 year old Glenlivet malt whiskyoh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

3. 1 book and 1 movie?
4. 1 crate of what booze?
1. Robin Crusoe - the daughter of Robinson. Very sexy and experienced in the art of desert island survival techniques.
2. a. The Anthology of American folk music (it's 3 discs long) b. Yield. c. Beethovens 9th symphony.
3. The Count of Monte Cristo (I haven't read it. It's big. And it's meant to be good. Either that or 'Don Quixote' for the same reasons. ), and The Deer Hunter (even though I've seen it about 10 times already).
4. A crate of Baileys Irish cream to drink or lick off of Robin Crusoes bronzed body.
Edit: Music wise, I'd probably swap Yield for a Pearl Jam bootleg because it'd be longer. Which one? Seattle 2000 maybe, Or Dublin, or San Francisco 1 2006.
Edit: I'd probably swap Bailey's for a crate of Rum. Rum's more of a desert island drink. Pina Colada's are the thing.
3rd Edit: I'd probably swap Beef oven for Dylans bootleg series box set. It's 3 cd's. Right, when do I set sail?0 -

1. Well this is a toughy...can I assume its not partners or children as I would honestly take my daughter and partner...but someone famous...jesus erm Gemma Hayes she could sing me to sleep after I've spent the whole day rogering her:eek: (trust me!)
2. Ten, Tool-10,000 Days, and bell x1-music in mouth....and bonus of gemma singing to me!
3. To Kill a Mocking Bird and Shawshank Redemption
4. I agree with hells and dunk....but if it had to be a drink it would have to be guinness served by gemma from a underground tap straight from St. James' Gate (home of Arthur G's nectar)I need a coffee!0 -
Right I'm off home, there are dudes drilling/knocking down a wall 4ft away and I have a permanant ringing in my ears....I'm sure the health and safety officer should do something about this..oh wait we don't have one!
Hope you all have a great evening, off to the last wedding tomorrow so chat on friday....and do some work people....you don't get paid to sit on here all day!:D

I've been sooooo busy no time to think about what/who I would take on a desert Island (seeing we have to limit ourselves to one or two), sorry V.. haven't had the time to review PJH. Had it in the 'background' but unable to stop and listen properly... will do.. but when??? Aarrgghhh... to many things to think of and to do in so little time!!!! (all Helen's fault!
:D).
At least got my daughter's birthday party invitations finished... got her a new violin (I wish I could have spent that money on something else!!)... etc. Bloody kids.
Will be on the board sporadically tomorrow.. so Helen... get your act together!:D:D0 -

1. As sickly sweet and cliched as it is, it'd have to be my fiance Genevieve, as she's the only person who keep me constantly amused and the only person who can put up with me 24/7.
But in the realms of fantasy, Charlotte Church
2. Pearl Jam - Ten, Faith No More - Angel Dust and Nirvana - Nevermind......though I might take Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet instead.
3. The Beach by Alex Garland
Star Wars - Episode 4 - A New Hope
4. A crate of red wine.....probably an Australian, maybe a Chilean but a full bodied red no doubtA democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.
