"Go" last year in Berlin. What a start they had there ;-). I've been waiting ~5 years to see them live as I got to know them just around 2001 ... One year before they had played in Salzburg ... Just 10min away from me :(.
And then? Berlin. Great start (and they kept on rocking ;-)), standing in the frontstage area. What else to say? I've simply been happy.0 -

mine was Once
From Five Horizons:
08/23/91 - Mural Amphitheater: Seattle, WA [50m]
attendance: 4,000
set: Once, State of Love and Trust, Even Flow, (Outshined)/Garden, Alive, Black, Deep, Why Go, Porch, Breath
notes: This free, outdoor show was also Dave Abbruzzese's first concert drumming with PJ and the last show of the summer '91 Sounds of Seattle concert series (later called "Pain in the Grass"). As an intro to 'Porch,' Ed says, "This song is about if you love someone, tell him." Ed climbs the speaker stacks during 'Porch' and glances over his shoulder at the Space Needle. Ed takes Jeff's basketball from behind the speakers and throws it playfully into the crowd. The ball makes its way back to the stage during 'Breath.' The seldom played 'Breath' is wonderful.Seattle 8/91, MPLS 3/92, St Paul 8/92, Denver 6/95, Missoula 6/98, MPLS 6/98, Albuquerque 10/00, Seattle 12/02, St Paul 6/03, Thunder Bay 9/05, DC 5/06, St Paul x2 6/06, Vancouver (EV) 4/08, DC 6/08, Chicago x2 8/09, KC 5/10, MPLS (EV) 7/11, Chicago 7/13, St Paul 10/14, Santiago 11/15, Missoula 8/18, Denver 9/22, Saint Paul 8/23, Saint Paul 9/23, Auckland, NZ x2 11/240 -

Milwaukee's Summerfest second show 1995. First song they opened up was Act of Love, first PJ song was Go. I'm sure I was thinking how awesome this was. Maybe also wishing I was in Chicago seeing another Grateful Dead show. LOL I saw them the night b4. Not a bad weekend for a 15 yr old.0

Mine was Can't Keep in Philadelphia 2000. After listening to their albums / cd's for 8 years prior, it was surreal to hear them play live."Everything has chains...Absolutely nothing's changed0
