Yeah,  go to Breitbart and you can be angry with them.  It's the lead story over there.

Or I can send you the one in my possession.  It's not my favorite and won't frame it.

From Breitbart: A Pearl Jam poster for a get-out-the-vote concert on Monday promoting Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) features a dead President Donald Trump and an American bald eagle eating the remains of his corpse. Matt Rosendale’s Senate campaign called the poster “reprehensible.”

I don't mind the rome is burning message but to show a dead president and a bald eagle eating the corpse is no way to drum up support.  If anything it makes this senatorial race even nastier.  I hope tester approved this poster before the show.

Right.  Because politics in this country isn't nasty right now.  I'm really tired of the group that has co-opted the most fringe of our society, the racists, and religious zealots crying foul over art, comedy, and whether or not athletes stand for the anthem.  But I guess when you're embarrassed for yourself, and have no other leg to stand on, this is what you reach for.

Seems that the right is having a little trouble with concepts like symbolism and metaphor.

Lots to analyze in this poster. Didn't even notice the eagle having a snack at first. Is that Pence in the right hand corner? Who's on the tractor?
    It's a hopeless situation...

Maybe some people would prefer if the poster mocked people with special needs and captured and tortured soldiers

     PEARL JAM ARE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS!!!
  • Wow.

I never looked that closely at the images. I have a greater appreciation for the art work.

It is ironic that the same group that is expressing outrage over 'illustrations' ... expressed outrage over Islamic extremists expressing outrage over 'illustrations' at Charlie Hebdo.

Guess I could have said “most artists lean to the left” and I would also have been correct.

Does anyone else think the most outrageous part of the poster is Tester ramping over the carnage on a tractor? Hilarious

I don’t get calling them conservative snowflakes for not liking this.
If some country band had the same poster with Obama, do you not think there’d be 10 times the outrage? With accusations of racism and everything else.
im not offended, but I get why some would be.

What did Obama do to be hated so much that he would be depicted on a poster in such a way? Other than be black?

No, I don’t actually think there would be ten times the outrage, except possibly for the fact that the symbolism would be inaccurate. Trump isn’t being shown being killed, which would be worthy of complaint, and which by the way was done with Obama’s image. Death is a common metaphor for corruption, which is what is being highlighted. It’s fair game.

And you don’t get why conservatives at being called snowflakes for complaining about this? The group that wears t-shirts that say “Fuck your feelings”? The group that openly says they like Trump chiefly because he offends liberals? You don’t see the hypocrisy?

    I’m not saying he did.
i just find it funny that conservatives get made fun of for being offended for something like this, but if the shoe was on the other foot there’s probably be marches and boycotts over it.
I also think it’s very understandable to be upset that a current president is depicted as dead with a bird eating him. Also why I don’t get the poking fun at them.
