It is art. And most if not all art is liberal leaning. I personally didn't buy the poster because I thought it was not my cup of tea looks wise without even knowing the symbolism in it. And note, it is symbolism from an artist. I am definitely right leaning on some subjects and left on others (like 80% of this country is). Probably 20% of country are numbskull zealots one way or the other and in my book the 20% does little to nothing to progress this country. Can we not get butt hurt over every living thing someone on each 'side' says, does, or creates? It doesn't affect your day in a negative way. Go shoot a gun and enjoy your day if you like while someone paints something. Everyone wins and you can both have a drink together afterwards as humans and yuck it up like we used to a couple years prior.
In Montana that probably hurt Tester more than helped for the people in the middle....which is who decides elections for the thick in the head group among the far left/right. If Tester loses PJ might look in the mirror a little on that.

I believe Jeff had quite a bit to do with what concept they were looking for based on his brief description of the piece. I would also guess that the band has to approve of it for it to be sold at their shows. While they may not have created the poster, they definitely supported it and ultimately put the stamp of approval on it.
