It is art.  And most if not all art is liberal leaning.  I personally didn't buy the poster because I thought it was not my cup of tea looks wise without even knowing the symbolism in it.  And note, it is symbolism from an artist.  I am definitely right leaning on some subjects and left on others (like 80% of this country is).  Probably 20% of country are numbskull zealots one way or the other and in my book the 20% does little to nothing to progress this country.  Can we not get butt hurt over every living thing someone on each 'side' says, does, or creates?  It doesn't affect your day in a negative way.  Go shoot a gun and enjoy your day if you like while someone paints something.  Everyone wins and you can both have a drink together afterwards as humans and yuck it up like we used to a couple years prior.

In Montana that probably hurt Tester more than helped for the people in the middle....which is who decides elections for the thick in the head group among the far left/right.  If Tester loses PJ might look in the mirror a little on that.

I believe Jeff had quite a bit to do with what concept they were looking for based on his brief description of the piece. I would also guess that the band has to approve of it for it to be sold at their shows. While they may not have created the poster, they definitely supported it and ultimately put the stamp of approval on it.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Mostly because the right doesn’t really have any funny comedians from which to make memes.

Lets be clear on this.  There aren't many funny comedians in general.  Dave Chapelle then the rest.

And the right's cupboards aren't completely bare: they do have that guy who lights his farts on fire. He's kind of funny.

Did PJ make a poster of that?

That is the point, that is why we are here.  It has nothing to do with feelings or snowflakes or unicorns that fart rainbows.

Bush did things a million times more grievous than Trump, all we got was a mask on a mic stand and a couple of songs.

I think this illustrates the divide in the country and how brazen the left has become when showing their hands to how violent they can or want to be.  There is no love trumps hate, that only applies to the other side when it comes to that standard.

Maybe the band doesn't care anymore about alienating a portion of the fanbase, certainly people here don't care as evidenced by some replies in this thread, but it seems to no longer be the case of despite our beliefs or our differences we had that common bond and could come together despite all of that for the music.  I truly meant it when I said I'd buy the first round because when the music is going everyone would live in that moment and forget their differences and just be in the present.

I think it may have started with the harm to gun owners comment, now this.  Is that the direction? This poster is more than Rome is burning, I've said that for years, my core belief is to leave me alone and I leave you alone, now it just seems like it is getting personal.  I find the image of the dead body distasteful and beneath the band frankly.  I never would have guessed they would do that.  The point can be made perfectly clear having the white house on fire, but someone chose to go further instead.

In case anyone hasn't noticed Jon Tester has been pro gun in the past, so the image of the guy holding the 2nd Amendment on a pro-Tester poster is somewhat confusing as well.

Why can't the country meet in the middle? Is this what you are saying?

In other words... why can't the left be just a little bit more racist? Why can't the left get behind fascism at least a little bit? And why can't the left be a little more Russian? And why can't the left just understand what we are trying to accomplish by stripping children from their parents when they reach our borders? And...

You just had children held in a Muslim training camp where they were going to be school shooters.

well, using a meme from a comedian to make your point shows you are taking the L right off the bat.

Just asking you to think for yourself and make your own astute observations.  But I will stoop to your ability level to demonstrate

Funny no outrage when Obama was hung in effigy by groups of racist idiots or when idiot Nugent call the 1st lady a monkey , hypocrisy reigns in 2018 ...
You weren't outraged?? None of us here were outraged??

And...
Just because their president is a dick does it really mean you can lump a nationality into being negative? I bet there are plenty of Russians in this country that are worrying people that talk about the "Russians" may hold them responsible.

Same with the racists too, huh? Not all racists are 'bad'. Even Trump said so (good people on both sides).

Why would you not be able to show a president dying (heartattack?), after burning down the white house and on his way fleeing to Russia with a briefcase full of the american people's money? With the eagle as an ironic touch.

No all racists are bad. I believe I watched a news broadcast where he said both sides were wrong or to blame something to that effect.
