If you're a conservative, which I am, and believe in conservative principles, which I do, then these decisions that have rolled out over the last few days are meaningful to you. They are far more important and long lasting then anything Trump himself can actually do. It explains why a conservative can support Trump even if he can be a jackass as "jackassery" in time will evaporate while these decisions will probably last a lifetime. The dwindling number of #NeverTrump conservatives would have preferred the average GOP voter to throw away their vote against their long term interests. But more to the point... I happen to think Trump is accomplishing a lot but there was a time only a few short months ago where many were saying "But Gorsuch..." as a punch line. What I am saying is that even if it was the only thing Trump accomplished just by the fact that he was elected (and there is no guarantee another republican candidate would have won the blue states Trump won) then it would have been more then plenty. Mitch McConnell and his hijacking of the supreme court for 11 months is responsible for Gorsuch, not the president. Any republican would've nominated someone with his credentials.
So what's the point of your post?
What's conservative about separating families from the border or banning muslims from entering our country, or forcing American companies like Harley Davidson to produce their product overseas as a result of Trump's dumb trade war, or adding billions (trillions?) to the deficit? I think I am missing something here. There is nothing conservative about Donald Trump. Nothing. The man is a carnival barking fraud conservative who just placates to gun lovers, despite not being a gun enthusiast; and Christians, despite never going to church and never displaying any of their supposed values.
Perhaps you're excited about Space Force!
I agree with everything else. Trump has always said, years ago, that if he ran for president he would run Republican.

Still care about the debt. You only have to go back a page or two to see that. The thing is...the CBO debt projection relies heavily on the rate of growth...as it should. So if you're growing at 1.9 the debt will be insane. But if you're growing at 4.5 your tax receipts will be massive which will help shrink the debt provide you don't continue to spend like Johnny Depp post-Pirates of the caribbean.NewJPage said:

Not only that.... the "conservative" (to use a term very loosely) ideals are aging out and will likely be a much smaller minority in 10 years.0 -

It makes sense not to dismiss. The judge on that case stated that he thinks Muller is over-reaching but he has a right to take it to trial. That is correct IMO. The question is what happens at trial as everything stems from the fruit of the poisonous tree. Even if Manafort gets convicted however it is irrelevant. It has zero to do with the election. It has zero to do with Trump. Like the judge on this case said it is only of value in the hope Manafort flips. But flip on what? Probably nothing and the country won't care. If Manafort was shady let him go down...it will have no impact.Halifax2TheMax said:

So what's the point of your post?
What's conservative about separating families from the border or banning muslims from entering our country, or forcing American companies like Harley Davidson to produce their product overseas as a result of Trump's dumb trade war, or adding billions (trillions?) to the deficit? I think I am missing something here. There is nothing conservative about Donald Trump. Nothing. The man is a carnival barking fraud conservative who just placates to gun lovers, despite not being a gun enthusiast; and Christians, despite never going to church and never displaying any of their supposed values.

I agree with everything else. Trump has always said, years ago, that if he ran for president he would run Republican.
"I love the poorly educated" -direct quote. And whether he called them gullible or not, it's true. Him being president is all the proof you need.

Nope. It will only go down if spending goes down. Your tax receipts are at an all time high. With higher growth your collections will be higher. You do not have a taxation problem. You have a spending problem. Johnny Depp level spending. You keep talking about taxes to avoid an entitlement discussion.NewJPage said:
So debt should go down like under fiscally conservative and tax cutting Reagan, right?BS44325 said:
Still care about the debt. You only have to go back a page or two to see that. The thing is...the CBO debt projection relies heavily on the rate of growth...as it should. So if you're growing at 1.9 the debt will be insane. But if you're growing at 4.5 your tax receipts will be massive which will help shrink the debt provide you don't continue to spend like Johnny Depp post-Pirates of the caribbean.NewJPage said:
