Halifax2TheMax said:It’s pretty simple Cincy, if you’re (not you personally) not a mindless idiot and you support Team Trump Treason, you’re a vile human being. For the love of allah, look at who is president and who he has denigrated and cozied up to? Look who he colluded with to get elected. Look at his statements, how he’s treated our staunchest of allies. Look how he’s treated women. Look at how he behaves, every fucking day. Now look at the repube party that allowed him to win. Look at the “Christians” the “evangelicals.” They have all sold their souls, every single last one of them. The fiscal conservatives? Sold out. The compassionate conservatives? Sold out. The party members of Reagan? Sold out. The law and order party? Sold out. Not fucking one of them has stood up to that piece of shit. As for Melania? Who gives a fuck? But Jared and Ivanka cashed in on $80 million last year and all I heard for two years was the corruption of the Clintons, despite 20 years of tax returns being released and her foundation open to scrutiny and not under indictment. And you’re upset about “repubes?” You’re upset about people piling on this shit bag Administration of racists and white nationalists, that lie and deceive and ruin this once great nation. George fucking Will says vote democrat for crying out loud. Sorry but the vitriol didn’t start with me or us Libtards or libtardaplorables. Team Trump Treason told a lie or mistruth once every two minutes in an hour long “rally” while the attorney general of the US goes on Christian radio and blatantly lies about not intending to separate immigrant children from their parents when two weeks before he’s on film saying just that. And your pissed or upset with me? Man are your priorities fucked. There is no reasoning with people who won’t acknowledge facts and there is no defense of this president or the repube party. “Shit hole countries.” “There’s good people on both sides.” Puerto Rico. “Grab them by the pussy.” “Fire those SOBs if they won’t stand for the anthem.” Mocking a reporter with disabilities. Disrespecting McCain, parents of a KIA Muslim service member and jabbing Senator Warren when “honoring” Navaho veterans who helped win WW2. I’m sure I’ve forgotten 90% more of the utter shit this president and his enablers have done. Go ahead be pissed at me.
I agree about Trump. I don’t about all trump supporters. I have good friends, some of which I’ve had heated disagreements with and some that we just avoid the topic. But these are solid great people. I’m trying to understand why they voted for him, and then the ones that are still supporting him why is that? I honestly don’t think they have a good answer and hope they turn it around. Mostly it’s because they hate politicians and see him as disrupting the status quo. And I think that they are so removed from where trump is doing most of his damage that they can ignore stuff they shouldn’t. I still think many will come around.
I just dont find what you are doing to be helpful in changing people like them minds. I find it creates the fight or flight response and people double down. And I’m worried that this is going to lead to another 4 yeaes if trump. Would that be your fault? I guess not, it’s still theirs but your attacks, etc certainly aren’t helping. I’m concerned because in the primaries I see it appears the Dems are moving farther left. In my opinion that move hurts their chances in an election and could cost us. It also creates more topics where they are moving farther and farther away from my beliefs. So that sucks.
2 different schools of thought you and I. I’ve had a similar discussion with a great friend of mine who, like you, thinks all this shit needs pointed out all the time...and I tend to agree. So not sure where you think I’m against the “piling on”. But he still doesn’t call all trump supporters “vile human beings”. Some yes, and I’m my opinion there certainly are plenty that are. But all people that voted for trump are either mindless or vile? Either with us or against us? That’s nonsense.
i also come here for discussions. To learn from others, to provide my opinions. And what you do takes away from that.hippiemom = goodness0 -
“Vile human beings” is the current Democratic Party platform.0

To be fair... you've spent a hell of a lot of energy defending the guy (and the gal) in recent times. It would be pretty easy to think of you as a supporter given the lengths you've gone to excuse or rationalize really shitty behaviour.
Go ahead a let me know what you are referring to.
It's a perception one is left with.
You seemed to be defending the US' decision to pull out of the UN Human Rights coalition. You definitely plopped yourself in Melania's corner after her ridiculous 'jacket incident'. You're obviously highly irritated with the forum's leading critic of McDonald and tend to take exception with his approach for criticizing Donald (leading one to assume you're somewhat sympathetic for the subject). I recognize Halifax is relentless, but unless I'm in favor of anything Trump does... it isn't going to be me ultimately defending Trump and challenging him (I never lose the message in his delivery and I agree with him).
I don't have a problem with you. I think you're a good person. This is just my impression from your writing and what prompted my comment.
1) UN human rights - never defended it. I asked someone that said the USnever belonged why they would say that about US when there are other countries on it that I believe to be worse for human rights. So not sure where you read that.
2) In my opinion the jacket was a jab at media and keyboard heroes that have been bitching about melania getting her husband (the president) to change his mind. She actually made a public statement that was against him which was a big deal as she hasn’t made many of them. I also think she’s not an elected official and doesn’t deserve the scrutiny she gets.
3) I can’t say what I think as I don’t want to get banned. A lot started over me disagreeing that all trump supporters are mindless idiots. I know they aren’t. And that is actually the scary thing. But as long as people like Halifax can just call them names and demonize them as a group... wait, that sounds a lot like someone else’s mode of operation..... And anytime someone doesn’t fall in line on this forum by blasting all things trump, Republican, and demonizing all trump supporters then they get labeled a trump supporter... case in point right here
Well... Halifax (and others) already stated what I feel regarding McDonald, the amazing first lady, and the orange one's supporters so I won't say too much other than to address the bolded section.
I assume you are talking of me and that is fair. Let me say this so you can understand me: it's tough for me to separate a person's political views from the person. I feel it is tough to do because for better or worse, one's political views ultimately represent their values to some degree. And if a person supports McDonald... then in my opinion, their values are morally bankrupt and I have very little respect for such a person.
There is another McDonald supporter and this is the stupid variety. I can respect this type of supporter more than the one that knowingly gets behind McDonald's obscenity because they're just so damn stupid they can't help themselves. Having said this, their vote works the same way and their stupidity is damaging- it's frustrating.
So I poke fun at these people. I don't want to understand them. I already do. They are who they are.
* Not that it means anything, but I can forgive the Trump voter that has made an error in judgement and recognizes their error.

You know I have a hard time understanding how you can’t separate it unless that’s all you know about a person. But there are a lot of people like you. Heck my buddy’s girlfriend moved out and broke up with him because he voted for a 3rd party candidate and not Hillary...saying it was effectively a vote for trump. I think people are taking things to far to separate people instead of coming together and having interesting conversation.
Heck im far more liberal now than I ever was, this forum has had an impact on that. Discussing and learning and thinking about things from angles you haven’t before is good.
oh and to stay on topic - trump doesn’t do that and that is one reason he is a freakin tool.hippiemom = goodness0 -
This is the type of story that Trump/the right will run with:
MS-13 gang members, including 10 illegal immigrants, charged in deaths of Virginia teens
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/06/22/ms-13-gang-members-including-10-illegal-immigrants-charged-in-deaths-virginia-teens.htmlEleven MS-13 gang members – all of whom are illegal immigrants except one – are facing life in prison after being charged in the kidnappings and deaths of two teens whose bodies were dug up in a Virginia park last year.
The ages of the male gang members charged Friday ranged from 20 to 27. All of them are from El Salvador and only one – who is believed to have fled the country – is not in police custody, according to NBC Washington.
Police uncovered the bodies of 17-year-old Edvin Escobar Mendez and 14-year-old Sergio Arita Triminio at Holmes Run Park in March 2017 after receiving a tip.
The two teens disappeared just weeks apart the prior year.

MRussell... that dude needs to be POTUS, hes fucking smarter than all of us! (Except maybe Benjis, he might just be a damn genius!)
Scruffy... I'm worried you're going to vote Trump in 2020, so pop on Riot Act and have a few IPA's (thanks for being a teacher, we need more good ones like you!)
PJ_Soul... I think i'm in lovelol
BS... are you wake and baking again??? lol
Unsung............. well........... I have to admit, his crazy ass is growing on me and I want to hang out with him, drink about 20 beers, talk politics, and turn him into a liberal LOL. I think he is really just a big softy
Brian...... who doesn't love Brian? He is wise, he is kind, and his eyes are always on the big picture. We could all learn from Brian
Jose......... Jose is what this country is all about. An immigrant who came to this country, who loves this country, and who has made this country a better place just by coming here. He works hard, he is a family man, and he believes in a better way. I love me some Jose, and will ALWAYS have his back! Jose is the most American motherfucker up in here
I especially enjoyed your notes about unsung (whom I have an equal amount of admiration and wtf attitude towards) and Jose.
