I'll be travelling with @zarocat and @uninnocent- . You can put the 3 of us down.
Maybe we can send an email to see if we can book the first class carriage instead? Doesn't hurt to ask.
Great idea..or we can ask them that..''we are x persons, we want to make this trip, on that day..how can we work this??''..or something like that..
Never hurts to ask is right. If they see that they can sell quite a few of First Class tickets in one day, they may want to do that?
I just I got an answer from them. They said its ok for 1st class but they told me its 866€ for 20 people, thats 43€ per person. Wasnt the price for 1st class 34€?

Yeah, seems like the train schedule has changed with the 10:24 having 2 transfers now with the 22:19 - 6:12 overnight train now being the one with no transfers. I hope this is some temporary mistake, otherwise that would suck. Looks like the next fastest train would be the 13:42 - 20:37 at just under 7 hours (but with 2 transfers).

I'm just deciding what to do re trains...  There really aren't any "good" train journeys are there?  I think I'm in for the 10.34 - I don't see any other option really - I had hoped to get an afternoon train, but that means arriving late, solo in Krakow which isn't ideal.  Would be in for 1st class, as you get more space and comfort and it's next to bar - haha!

Has the 08.17 (approx.) completely disappeared?

I have some news. They told me that the 10.24 train will be with no transfers. Also the offer for 20 persons 1st class is 866€ while for 2nd class is 576€. The 34€ per person for 1st class is an eshop offer for a limited amount of tickets.

So, they give us the vagon for 43E per person..i'm still fine with that..but if you guys think otherwise, no problemo with second class..

I will go with the flow but if we are voting second class non group would be the way I would vote since I would guess everyone here would get a seat at the limited discounted rate since second class has a lot more seats to offer. 43 Euros is a lot for me especially after I was set on a 12 Euro bus ride. That said once again I will go with the group. Can't wait!

I got another mail from them saying that time schedules will change on the 10th of June and that there MIGHT be a no transfer train to Krakow.

They dont know what they're doing.... if first class, we may as well just book direct and save some money?

We can book direct but this special fee of 34 euros is for a limited amount of tickets. Furthermore right now the 10.24 train has 2 transfers.

On the other hand the 10.24 train arrives at 17.46. Since we are going to be all together I am ok with the arrival time and the 2 transfers.
Other options is a morning airplane through Dusseldorf that costs 97 euros and arrives in Krakow at 13.15pm. I can't find any night buses right now.

Does no one fancy the overnight option anymore? Gives an extra day chilling out in Prague.

I already have a non refundable hotel booked for the second or I would have considered it for sure.

Also there is still the direct bus option for those that want to travel at night though from what people are saying it would not be as comfortable as a train.
