I just got back from the cinema with my daughter. We saw A Wrinkle in Time. It was a beautiful film, but they got so much wrong. No Aunt Beast? Motherfuckers!
We had family movie night last night and watched The Bad News Bears (1976).
I SAW PEARL JAM0 -
Love, Simon

Baywatch.
Honestly not as bad as I expected going in. Dumb but also somewhat fun. I've seen worse.

a buddy of mine implored me to watch this (he's a big "explosions and boobs" kind of guy). I don't turn many movies off, but man, I was tempted with this one.JimmyV said:Baywatch.

I had heard it was the worst movie of 2017 so that was my expectation. I feel like there had to have been worse movies last year.HughFreakingDillon said:

Paradox (Neil Young's futuristic western, "loud poem")
Pretty good, actually!“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)
“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
(Tim Rogers)0 -
well for sure. there were some funny parts, mainly where the movie was making fun of itself, with Zack Whatshisname constantly saying "why are we doing this? don't you people realize we're just lifeguards and not police??!!!". LOLJimmyV said:

The Lovely Bones, very well done, reminded me a lot of What Dreams May Come or Big Fish. Kind of sad it took the critical drubbing that it did when it came out."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Ah. Well I think the movie got panned because it really pales in comparison to the book. It's a great read!DarthMaeglin said:PJ_Soul said:

my wife said the same thing. she read the book and said it was phenominal, but was disapointed in the book. I think she said the movie even left out a pretty big plot point in the book or something? I can't recall.PJ_Soul said:
