Black Panther - I loved it, but I'm not a huge Marvel fan and really only like the originals of each characters movie and most of the captain America ones. This was my favourite, really strong cast too

    Meru.  What an INCREDIBLE movie!!!

    This movie looks awesome.

I love the mountaineering movie. Into Thin Air was arguably the best book I've ever read (I've read it four times).
You will very likely thoroughly enjoy Meru, Thirty!  Have you seen "Touching the Void"?  It's also great both as a book and film!

Yes, I want to read Into Thin Air!

  • Have read and seen Touching the Void!

Both solid, but book is best by far.

Dark Shadows by Simpson was a good book.

I really liked the K2 book: No Way Down. It was really good. There was a documentary on it as well (the same incident).

  • Brian I just did an amazon search and saw a book that really tweaked my interest on the K2 accident: Buried in the Sky. Looks good with many great reviews!

Pretty good sci-fi horror movie starring Natalie Portman.  I dug the score as well.

Real long and dull for the most part.
I've seen eight of the best picture films and (Have not seen Phantom Thread) I liked this the least.
Sorry love stories kind of put me to sleep.
Italy did look very beautiful in the movie.

“if....” (1968) This is the movie that Stanley Kubrick saw and made him want Malcolm McDowell for Alex in A Clockwork Orange. Really good British film about youth rebellion and counterculture.

It’s on amazon prime for free right now if anyone is interested.

Black Panther - really enjoyed it. I've never read a comic book but I've enjoyed nearly all of the MCU movies

Baby Driver - fun movie with a cool soundtrack some really good sound editing.

I really can't see what all of the hype is around Shape of Water. I can't see anything appealing about it, and I usually like weird films!
