ya, waiting on the boot sucks.

And pittsburgh nightlife isnt bad. You should have done some reasearch before she show when you visit a city where you dont know where anything is. Basically you could have gone 5 minutes (car ride) in 4 directions (the strip district, oakland, station square, or shadyside) and you would have found good-great nightlife.

    dang...where is this boot?
  • this show was such a blast! 6th row center stage, nearly 3 hours long, caught one of ed's picks. the band was really on fire and the crowd picked them up even more. pj really feeds off a good crowd. loved every second, this is now my new favorite concert.

i hope they dont forget about the boot, that one's gonna get a lot of play.

went to a place called "souper bowl" before and after the show after checking out a map of bars in the city before we drove out there. met some cool 10c'ers there too. cheap food and good beer, and it was about a 2 minute walk from the venue.

How pathetic to start a Steelers chant at a rock concert.

  • Well Pittsburgh was my second show of this tour and I could hardly wait. I had gone to Cleveland and that was such an awesome show my firend and I had to buy tickets to other shows. On our way over to Pitt my friend was talking to her best friend and she really wanted to come to the show so I stopped and bought another tickets show she could join us. As I got back in the truck i told my firend that doing things like this give you good karma.
It was finally time for the show and we all met and went in to anouther incredible show. The boys did not let us down, the setlist was incredible and they all played incredible. When the show was over my firend and i met back up and decided to just sit in the truck and look at the pictures we took instead of trying to fight the traffic. Once all the traffic was gone we left and as we drove around the arena I noticed some vans pulling into the tunnel under the arena and a small group of people. So we got out and thought if nothing else we can wave at the guys as they leave. We stood there and as we waited had a nice conversation with one of their security guards who asked us to make sure to stand to the side of the drive way because the vans usually just come flying out. Then he counted us and walked over to talk to us. He told us to all take a deep breath and relax that the van was going to pull up and Eddie was going to get out and shake hands with us. Then the van pulled up and Eddie got out and shook habds with everyone there and kiss my friend. It was awesome. He was such a humble guy and peasceful. THANKS EDDIE FOR AN INCREDIBLE NIGHT IN PITTSBURGH!!!

Did he talk a lot? Or just shake hands and leave?

I can't believe I missed that. Also, what time did he come out?

Yeah, there were a good number of people in there, went got in at about 3:00 and it was fairly dead, then as the show got closer, it got packed. Too bad they only had 10 in the jukebox...must have heard Porch 8 times while we were there. :D

As I was looking through the jukebox, Audioslave was playing and some girl came over and said "Who the fuck played this?!?" I just shrugged...then proceeded to play Creed's My Sacrifice just to see if people would notice. ;)

You said it! Im sooooooo pissed at my friend!!! because of him we had to leave early cause he was too fucked up earlier. We made it through half of the show but then he started freakin out cause he couldnt stop sweating and thought he was gonna pass out. I had to leave with him cause we went together. Fucker, i punched the shit out of him the next day. It wasnt my first show so that was good but come on, if i could go back i would have made him leave himself. I am still absolutely furious about this. They played an hour of songs from the show on krock here in pittsburgh and it just made me more pissed off. I work the late shift everyday and my friends all go out at night but i have to wake up early cause im a personal trainer. Anyway, i dont get to go out much, so ive basically waited three years for this concert and the asshole ruined it. He owes me sooooo big!

some people in my area started a 'Here we go Pearl Jam' chant, and those who didn't hear the 'Pearl Jam' did the stupid Steeler chant. Save it for football brother!
I will walk with my hands bound

Well, i think i am the luckiest girl in the world today! Probably not, but i sure feel like it!! I was lucky enough to come upon a 3rd row seat for friday night!!!!!! It was the 2nd best night of my life(1st- birth of my son)!! It still feels like a dream! Third Row! My seat was halfway between eddie's and stone's mic stands. It was fucking awesome!!!! It's so hard to put my feelings into words!! It was such a spiritual experience! Stone even pointed at me at the end of the show!!

during the "my two hands" tag, ed and stone kept looking off to their left.......i kinda thought maybe a special guest would join them......

and 'rockin in the free world' was unbelieveable!!!!!!!
  • This was a great show. I would make it second to AC #2 for me. In Hiding and Smile were on my short list of songs I hoped to hear, so that made it great. The crowd was good except for the 14 year drunk kid with his head down for the whole show. He only stood up to take pictures with his 35 mm camara with no flash from 27 rows back. And there was the 7'0 tall kid who just stood there the entire time with his hands on his pockets.

The set list was great. I liked the sie of the igloo, but it was damn hot in there!

Let's hope for State College in 2007!

    I say yeahhhhhh!
    Hey brother.
