we were in for the preset and knew ed would hit us hard. probably the best version of throw your arms i have heard. stuck around for that pollard dude and came to the conclusion that he/his band rawked...with some cool punk thrown in for good measure...just to keep it real.
i'm still loving the new songs soooo much...i just can't properly describe just HOW much...
probably one of the best daughter tags i have heard too...it was my 27th show.
waiting on a friend can also not be properly described. the band came to pittsburg and kick my ass with that song, among others. nice to see corduroy way up there at the start of the show...it really rawks out, always.
it was my last show this year(4/5th leg please!). the band did us so proud. i left the show completely satisfied that they were still cooking. the band
all u kats who have more shows to do just remember to be careful out there, and mostly, just have a great time. it truely is a great moment to be a pearl jam fan
Damn I missed this. We had to leave cause my friend had to do makeup for a wedding the next day. Oh well here's to hoping they do make it back next year!!! A Buffalo show would be nice as well.
Freakin great show btw. Crowd was awesome. I know sec. 7 on the floor was jumping!!!
Probably now my 2nd fave show behind HOB!!!
A Buffalo show would be nice that is what we have been thinking too
that would be Nixon... he is from Detroit... he sits by me all the time too, very cool guy!
Yes, that's Nixon.. he's volunteered at several CCFA Fundraisers, an avid fan of Matt Cord and the 10Club on WMMR and an all around hottie sweetheart of a guy

Seems like an all around good guy. Really gets into the show. Great to see.
If you go to a concert in Pittsburgh, expect to hear the Steelers chant, if you go to a baseball game in Pittsburgh, expect to hear the Steelers chant, if you go to a church service in Pittsburgh, expect to hear the Steelers chant, if you go to a FUNERAL in Pittsburgh, expect to hear the Steelers chant........ the Steelers are the team that defines the city............ Here we go Steelers Here we go.............
Man of the house, release opener, smile, i got shit, garden, great preset... My personal favorites - SOLAT, porch(which is an awesome 20 minutes long), and i really liked the new stuff.
And im really fucking thankful that we got a full set with 2 encores after reading all the bitching about the petty shows. I dont think i realized at the time how lucky i was.
Awesome energy, good sound, energetic band, great setlist. What else could i need?

Rock on steelers!
I have been a devoted fan since I was 15 years old. 15 years ago. This was the first time I have ever got to see them live. Every time they came around something was going on in my life, i.e. kids, marriage etc. Let me just say I was so excited!!! Counting downs the days, even months before the show. It was like being a kid again!! The boys did not let me down!! The absolute best concert I have ever seen!! Even my husband, who likes Pearl Jam, but is a little jealous of my obsession, had the best time of his life!! I think we may have actually turned him to being also, a devoted fan!! So thanks guys, for the memory and the good time!! I will never forget! Hope to see you again soon!!

a fan since '91, obsessed shortly thereafter. everyone was so glad i was going to see them in pitts. cuz they thought i would finally shut up about pearl jam. HA!!!! little did they know.... my first show.....i still can't stop re-living it. sooooo....we're going to australia in november to see 'em!!! it's more adventurous than just following them west! should be interesting to see how they are received down under. i'm 38, brought a 19 y.o. friend who I have been training to love pearl jam like i do! he cried. elderly woman was awesome. betterman was hypnotic. i could go on and on. one more quickie....a girl told me a while back how she saw them in seattle and it was great cuz it was quiet and she could only hear pearl jam????? hearing alll my peoples singing along with almost every song....priceless. and the woman i'm after called during betterman. she was doubly blessed! i'm really tryin' to shut up!!! peace!!!
I was also at both and the setlist for Pittsburgh was better but the vibes from the band and the crowd were much better in Cincinnati. Making the Cincinnati live experience bettter but making the Pittsburgh boot better.

i find that hard to believe. i couldn't even hear ed at times the crowd was so into it. and you could tell the band was digging the crowd in the burgh big time.

I was not saying that they were not great in pittsburgh. But in my opinion they seemed to be having a better time in Cincinnati and the crowd seemed much louder. Mike was much more animated in Cincinnati, he is my favorite and in Pittsburgh he just did not move around the stage like he did in Cincinnati. If you could have seen him with Boom on Crazy Mary you would know what I'm saying. Anyone with me out there?
Eddie almost fell off of the stage he was jumping around so much and almost missed his que at the end of Alive because he was shaking people's hands in the audience.
Both experience were more than fantastic. I only dream of the next time I get to experience them live.
By the way I was at the Hershey concert in 2003 (I noticed you had that listed as one of the concerts you have been to)

I wasn't at the Cincy show, but I hope they at least turned the air on for you. I actually think I got dehydrated from the sweat box Mellon Arena
I love my female wife...
we sit around and wonder exactly why our marriage should feel threatened by gay marriage
This was my 3 show of '06 and I thought it was the best set list that I'd seen live so far. Unfortunately the crowd was not that into it. It was hilarious seeing how wasted Eddie was, I can't even count how many times he fell or stumbled. Being a Bengals fan, I loved his jab on Rothlisberger, he didn't even apologize either. I was also at Cincy, and if you listen to the boot, Pitt has a better setlist and is a better boot, but if you were at Cincy you know how hard everyone was rocking out, which is why I think Cincy was a better show.

Hahaha thank you...I tried to explain this before the concert, that this chant would happen, as it does at everything in Pittsburgh. No joke, I heard this chant at a funeral viewing.
I'm glad all the out of towners experianced it at the show hehehe.
