if Hillary takes all responsibility for Trump's win/her loss, then she isn't giving Trump enough credit that he won on his own merits.
if Hillary doesn't take all responsibility for Trump's win/her loss, then she's playing the blame game and is a whiner and needs to go away.

    she can't win either way.
I can't comprehend how people seemingly need to reduce this binary outcome (win or lose) to a binary reason. There are a litany of reasons, all with varying degrees of impact, for the outcome of the election. Some of these traits or positions by a candidate appealed to some voters, and dissuaded others, in unknowable ratios. So why bother?

If anyone can grab me a signed copy I'll throw some cash and merch otherwise l'll check the local library in a few weeks since my curiosity is peaked. I'm anxious to compare the book (public version) to the emails (private version).

Sorry, but you're not going to find Hillary waxing poetic about missing the taste of Comet Pizza while campaigning through Iowa.

Started reading it this morning....she very clearly accepts all blame for her loss in the first few pages of the book.

The narrative that she blames others is over.
They're going to keep saying that anyway though. People have their own truth now and facts don't matter to them. I'm enjoying the read. What she was thinking during the inauguration was interesting. I'll have to read more later.
Yes that was interesting.  I can't imagine the guts it took to sit up there and listen to that speech knowing she got 3 million more votes than that idiot.

Absolutely, she sure did... and I can without reservation say that that was the first time George W Bush made me laugh. Picture the setting and him saying that...it was hilarious.

  • If I've said it once I've probably said it a hundred times.  Hillary lost because the first thought in minds when hearing her name is Monica not President.

Don't care to read the book, but I heard her blame Russia and Comey in two different interviews about the book. I didn't hear her say she could have worked on trust or ran a better campaign. Which I think is the real reason. Agree or not, America has a trust issue with her.

she has stated in several different interviews/etc that Russia, Comey, and Sanders don't get all the blame. She has absolutely taken responsibility for her failed campaign, but notes there is not one single factor that lead to her defeat.

The level of mistrust wasn't aligned with reality, though. It was driven by a lot of repetitive Clinton hate since 2000 and grasping at threads. Also factor in the different expectations she had placed on her based on her gender.

I am almost done the book and quite like it.  I agree that Hillary does take the blame for her lost.  I would also say that the book is not just about what happen but what will keep happening if things don't change.

That's what you're missing by not reading the book. I have no trust issues with her. I read and listen to what she's saying and watch what she's done, not take other people's comments about her. Her approval rating when leaving the Secretary of State position was 69% and Republicans thought she did a great job. They stopped saying that when she ran for office and so now I can't believe anything they say after that because they savaged her so dishonestly. One guy said she was the antiChrist. Seriously? She told him later she really wasn't. Ha...what a sense of humor.  That's in the book. :)
