I think Breaking Bad was the best show ever myself, but the Sopranos was pretty good... it wore thin after a while for me though, so I stopped watching it maybe halfway through the series. Then I just came back for the final episode... and I loved the ending. Of course something happened OP. Are there people who actually think that nothing happened and they just enjoyed their dinner? I personally think (along with most others I think) they were all blown away, perhaps by a bomb, but maybe a hit man.

Breaking Bad was a damn good show and had maybe the best final season of any show ever. But The Sopranos was better in every aspect pretty much.Worcester1 13, Worcester2 13, Hartford 13, San Diego 13, Los Angeles1 13, Los Angeles2 13

The wife and I just finished this, me for the 2nd time her for the 1.5th time.
I really hope he wasn't killed in front of all of them. They obviously want you to think he was killed, but I don't think David Chase would have him killed in front of his whole family like that. AJ would kill himself 100%. I don't want that to happen to that family, so I am going with the theory that he is just going to be paranoid forever and never comfortable.Post edited by Cliffy6745 on0 -

Agreed on Breaking Bad being the best show ever. The Sopranos is close, but there were too many weak spots for me to consider it the best ever. And that ending didn't help things....I'll never forget watching that with a bunch of friends and we all freaked out thinking that the cable went out when the screen went to black. That was crazy.0 -
I'm not a huge Sopranos fan. 1st 2 seasons were dynamite... but they ended up dragging everything out. You would have to wait a long time for a 'good episode' to happen. Lots of loose ends and sloppy storytelling.... and the stories weren't even that captivating. By the 4th season-ish, I really didn't care for any characters, nor did I have any strong feelings against any.... I kind of hung on the last few seasons to see how they would end it... and then, to my horror, they really didn't end it.
Maybe I dont give it enough credit as it kind of pushed the drama series envelope.... but I would argue Oz was the one to do that as it came first. Then since, series have hit a new level of writing and captivating audiences. Breaking Bad, Wire, GoT, House of Cards, among many others, put Sopranos to shame IMO.
Still miffed about the ending. Either nothing happens and fatso eats onion rings.... or he is offed, off-camera, off-series by some C-level side character we never know. Wow, great job. I had hoped/expected some culmination of the Feds, NYC family, Internal strife, etc to suffocate Tony and watch him either prevail or be done in for the final season.Post edited by MayDay10 on0 -

But I can definitely see why a lot of people thought there was something wrong with their TV, hahaha.

That was so bad.....I remember trying to watch an episode and it was brutal. Shows like this should not be on regular TV.0
