I dont think this will set you straight but these are my beliefs.
You ran a terrible un-electable wobbly candidate that nobody liked that was really good at losing except outside of NY. Historically Hillary is much better at being appointed then being elected.
The democratic leadership and the DNC didnt have the guts to tell Hillary to go pound sand. She lost to a fresh faced Senator from Illinois 8 years prior. Did they think their base would pivot from Obama to Hillary? Excluding wars, he was everything she wasn't. If she wasnt good enough then what makes her good enough now? I guess there was really no one else, and thats speaks volumes about the democrats.
Big shock, the voters rejected her in 08 and they rejected her again in 16! Wow, how could anyone see that coming.
I will spare you with the rigging the primary details because it is a fact, undeniable that the dnc was fixed on Hilliary and come hell or high water she was going to be "appointed" the nominee one way or the other. If you dont believe this or choose to ignore it and think that it had nothing to do with the general election then the only stupid in the room is you.
When people claim that the voters are stupid, I completely disagree, I think voters were smart enough to know a cheater when they see one, smart enough to know crooked (crooked hilliary!) when they see it, not dumb enough to not know all you've done (the most qualified candidate) for them but smart enough to know how little you actually did, smart enough to see thru the typical tired old negative campaign tactics of racist, sexist, bigot, nazi, etc etc and smart enough to see real collusion among the Hillary camp, the DNC and the MSM when it smacks them in the face, repeatedly. AND THOSE VOTERS STAYED HOME!!!
Believe it or not the voters were so sick of Hilliary they decided to live with the prospects of a Trump presidency them bring themselves to vote for Hilliary! (you really dont have to read any further, thats it)
Remember the pied piper theory, that worked out well. The "elevate the pied piper candidate", had everything to do with the medias coverage of Trump during the primaries and general and it backfired, big time. Hillary and the DNC were so confident that they would landslide Trump, they begged for him (as did many many many on here) to be the nominee.
She along with the colluding media totally underestimated Trump and how his message would motivate his voters. Go compare the rallys, assess the level of excitement at each. Except for when Hilliary trotted out Katy and Queen B, nobody showed up nobody was excited!
Hillary never even bothered to campaign in some states, states that could offer a challenge. Did her camp and her democratic operatives somehow think that votes in Cal and NY would offset the votes in Michigan and Wisconsin?
Seems a little over confident arrogant and cocky to me, traits that according to Hilliary resonate with voters.
Didnt we get what Hillary and co along with the colluding media media wanted? TRUMP
Remember the 24 hr Trump coverage, (elevate the pied piper) it was good for ratings, good for the bottom line maybe not so good for America. See why Im so confused as to the confusion of how did we get here.
Hilliary ran a 100% negative, exclusionary campaign without any message other then, I'm with Her, and Her turn. It wasnt about sexism it was about not putting your finger on the pulse of the deciding voters. They didnt care about tax returns (except a few in here) nearly as much as she did. Simply put, deciding voters weren't buying what she was selling, period.
Her messages were rooted in fear, vote for me or else its HIM.
It was all Hilliary, plain and simple, not electoral system, not stupid voters and not Russia, she was the only candidate that could possibly lose to Trump with the help of a billion dollars.
She had a trust issue, a likability issue, a perpetual war issue and status quo issue (if you bothered to read the Podesta emails) her camp and the DNC knew about it months before the election! What did they do? Run ads about little girls waking up in the middle of the night and running for the fallout shelter. Yeah, that will work, that will energize voters.
Its not that difficult, next time bring issues to the struggling middle class, don't ignore them and call them super predators or deplorable, not once but twice.
Before I get the silly Trump replies, know that I'm not referring to hardcore republicans or the first time or rarely vote Trump voters, she could never appeal to them, she never had their vote from the jump. I'm referring to those that usually decide elections, the avg John/Jane voters and independent voters. I'm damn sure someones reply will be smart enough blah blah they voted trump, what are you stupid, smart enough balh blah, again and again Im not referring to those voters, I referring to the deciding voters that decided to stay home.
Here's a suggestion maybe talk to a Trump supporter once in a while and see what they say, I have and I don't think they're contagious.

JC, I've talked to trump voters, and what they say, combined with what you said and didn't say, supports my thoughts about the election. Your emphasis is on Clinton being unpopular, and that drove the vote. You downplay the appeal trump had with voters. Ever since the election, there's been a theme that trump voters and the republican party aren't really responsible for this. It's bullshit revisionism.0

They obviously liked his message of America First, MAGA and may have been sick of names like Bush Clinton but Im guessing again.
Isn't Trump what the person you voted for wanted? Isn't he who you wanted to be the GOP nominee?

Fine, but that doesn't explain this:232Hillary Clinton Clinton306Donald J. Trump Trump270 to winHillary Clinton ClintonDonald J. Trump TrumpLost 6 seats –6Gained 6 seats +6Popular Vote
65,853,625 votes (48.0%)62,985,106 votes (45.9%)Which brings us to Russia, Russia, Russia.
"Did her camp and her democratic operatives somehow think that votes in Cal and NY would offset the votes in Michigan and Wisconsin?"
Will reply in more detail later but in a nut shell, no, that would be negligent.09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. Your emphasis is on Clinton being unpopular, and that drove the vote. You downplay the appeal trump had with voters. Ever since the election, there's been a theme that trump voters and the republican party aren't really responsible for this. It's bullshit revisionism.
I didnt downplay anything with Trump because its not about Trump. Re-read it, but its just my opinion.
Is it your opinion that elevating the pied piper candidate is bullshit?
They obviously liked his message of America First, MAGA and may have been sick of names like Bush Clinton but Im guessing again.
Isn't Trump what the person you voted for wanted? Isn't he who you wanted to be the GOP nominee?
That's fair, you asked a question, I answered, I'm not the voting populace so I (or anyone else) can only guess/offer my opinion.
You point to the voters that believed in Trump, I point to the voters that didn't believe Hilliary.

Again you point at voters that chose Trump over Hilliary, I point to voters that couldn't bring themselves to vote Hilliary and stayed home.
I'll add this, if those stay home voters weren't convinced that the election was a Hilliary landslide (Nate Silver), that the prospects of a Trump presidency was real life, maybe they would have come out.
Let's throw some blame on all those phony polls. interesting that the Trumpers came out in the face of those same polls, maybe to make the results respectable.
If you had to choose would you want someone voting for you or against your opponent?
